No it doesn't. Plenty of it came also from third party publisher making games exclusively to PlayStation.

What games were those then?

Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill?

Have they all been exclusive to Playstation?

I already have a Series X. It's as simple as picking up another controller for me. I just vastly prefer the PS ecosystem and would love to have access to these games there.

And yes, nothing changed. For now. It won't happen over night. It took Sony an entire generation of partnerships and great games to drag themselves out of the PS3 hole. These partnerships and acquisitions accumulate over time.

Where did you lose access to anything? FFXVI JUST came out a few weeks ago, FF Rebirth is coming out in like 6 months. We are getting all those atlus games, yakuza games, and more.

If you prefer to play them on gamepass play them there. Why buy two consoles if you’re gonna spend your days crying over having to turn one of them on? Thats the whole point

You all just need to admit you’re mad that xbox players can now play final fantasy and persona games and stop bs’ing. You aren’t losing anything of value other than console war rhetoric.
Son, I'm mad Xbox still exits because Sony is allowing it to. Fuck Xbox, do you think they are going to actually play any of those games? This is all about sabotaging future PlayStation games and destroying the traditional game market so MS can rule over the ashes and have the "Netflix of games". I hate Netflix and it pretty much killed the viability of traditional and actually good movies made for non brainless people.

Look back at what happened to Japanese devs when MS was calling the shots with the 360 early success. All time low for the gaming market.

Right now they have more singleplayer games announced then GAAS games. They are pumping out way more singleplayer games then ever. If folks want to pivot and say they don't like those single player games, get an xbox and move on.

Their singleplayer output for the frist 3 years of the ps5 has beat the ps4.

What partnership have they lost with Sega?

When were Sony close to Sega for decades is what I want to know.

News to me.

Maybe I’m living in a parallel universe.

Looks like they did, where are all the future first party games? I did not became a PlayStation fan because of Marvel, in fact I can't stand Marvel at this point.
While I’m not a fan of Spider-Man game it sold gazillions and made a Wolverine game possible (something that I dream for decades).

That is what happens when you do things right like PlayStation is doing.

I could not be more happy with Marvel and PlayStation deal.

I wonder if MS had brought Insommiac (they had the chance) and Spider-Man was made for Xbox instead PlayStation… you should be very happy I guess.

They were not Xbox games made to be put on Gamepass, that much I know.

Don’t move the goalposts.

What third party games were Playstations identity.

Final Fantasy? Started on Nintendo. First 6 games in fact.

Resident Evil? Always multiplatform and then Capcom struck an exclusive deal with Nintendo which they regretted.

Metal Gear Solid? Mostly multiplatform.

Silent Hill? mostly multiplatform.

Help me out.

The same way they lost Sega.

Phil wasn't there to just announce FF14. That's a twitter post. He's there to negotiate more. It's the same thing that's happening with Sega. Sony's chasing GaaS and letting their partnerships deteriorate.
