IGN didn't like Starfield, they gave it a 7 and said it was "okay."IGN:
"Marvel's Spider-Man 2 received seven nominations, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received five alongside Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Starfield received one." Instead of saying Hi-Fi Rush also got 5, they go out of their way to rip Starfield.

Headline: "Starfield gets ghosted at the Game Awards" That's the headline for the entire article about TGA noms.
It's not that it didn't get nominated. It's like an active campaign to shit on the game for some reason. Like the game or not, it wasn't Redfall, for god's sake. It's just really uncalled for
Why does reeee hate FFXVI so much but defends starfield. It makes no sense. What did FFXVI do to them?

It was the poster child for Sony moneyhats. They've been hating on it for years. They made up a bunch of other reasons when it came out but the root cause is the PS5 exclusivity.

They're extremely angry about PlayStation having timed exclusivity for it, but are OK with MS buying multiple publishers.
I don’t see how anyone is supposed to deal with games media in good faith if they’re snubbing a game because the author of its source material is a TERF or whatever.
I'm already seeing Xbox fanboys threatening to boycott the show. It reminds me of the time Jez Corden and the others had a meltdown when FH5 didn't get nominated.
I just want to see wonder win an award. Im pretty certain Nintendo might win the goty award with totk though if I’m being honest here.
