Nah honestly if anything this remake will prove is that the second game was always betterI wonder with this releasing soon, will people enjoy the first one more than the second?

Well that won't change my view of remakes and remasters.
Think like you get the UE4 project and start to run it in the UE5 that is what they did.
You are very optimistic with the priceHBO skin pack $9.99
I can see why they would want to be careful about changing too much of the original game, as it can be a difficult balance to appeal to both old and new fans. If prone and dodge are the only things not brought over from 2, then I think I will survive. We really haven't seen enough of this game to judge either way, and it's clear from the bugs we are seeing in these leaks we are not dealing with final build, who knows how old the leaked footage is? I'm hoping for a big AI improvement in terms of supporting characters. But there were times in TLOU2 when allies got in your way, or in line of fire. It's difficult to avoid completely tbf, which is why it is important not to punish the player for AIs mistakes. I'm also hoping for the ladder puzzles to be refined, or changed, as they are the worse parts of the original game for me.first of all, Demon's Souls aren't Bluepoint game, tlou is ND game. so they have all the power to change and upgrade the game because they have all the knowledge.
you can't say it if you do is bad and if you don't is bad. you have to look at it as game by game basis. that's how i look at it. Demon's Souls kept tick by tick gameplay movement 1:1, but they updated animations and add some quality of life improvements. whole genre until Sekiro kept the same core gameplay, even Elden Ring share most of it's core. you can't ask for them to implement new gameplay core, it is unrealistic.
tlou on the other hand, had the chance to upgrade, they have knowledge, manpower and technology (tlou 2) to do it. especially when they said themself it is not a cash grab, so you automatically set the expectations.
you forgot to include Demon's Souls Sound design to the list, it is basically have to be a gold standard in gaming. sound set the mood, immersion and feel to the whole game. it is amazing.
and i was comparing game vs game as a whole, and it looks like it wipes the floor. let see if it will be the same case after release.
You still have not changed your Avatar, what kind of a slack arse founder are you, Fix now or else i bring da Smoke.I wonder with this releasing soon, will people enjoy the first one more than the second?
If it's not changed by the end of the day 'Craig' can be his new avatar! You still have not changed your Avatar, what kind of a slack arse founder are you, Fix now or else i bring da Smoke.
Good point, the clock is now tickingIf it's not changed by the end of the day 'Craig' can be his new avatar!
TLOU Pt I
Demon's Souls
- Graphics
- Animations - they seem tighter, even if based on the first game, which Naughty Dog was upfront about
- Sound
- Weapon mechanics
- AI
- Control Scheme
- Adds jump functionality - could imply some changes to level design, even if minimal
- Weapon workbench - QoL and immersion more than anything
- New ammo types
- Faster load times
- HUD / UI Changes
Somehow the latter wipes the floor with the former, even though nobody has played the former and has only watched a couple of 2.5min videos.
- Graphics
- Animations - updated but feel similar to the original, just like TLOU PT I
- Re-Recorded Dialogue / Soundtrack
- New weapons
- Camera changes
- Omnidirectional Roll
- Inventory changes
- Faster load times
- HUD / UI
Incredible how people set themselves false expectations and then cry online.
On a personal note, I am disappointed by the lack of prone and dodge, but those expectations were set on me by myself, and never did naughty dog claim they would be included. I also feel prone could require some more fundamental level design changes, which people would then proceed to bitch about because it's not the same.
We've reached a point where if something changes, it's seen as bad (updated design on Tess to make her more like the actual real life person that did mocap), and if something doesn't change, it's also seen as bad. The goalpost to cry about Naughty Dog games (and sony games overall) keeps moving.
I think a ground up remake would be if thy made it with the TLOU2 engine, this looks like its built on top of the first game.
I dont think theres a jump button i think thats just a vault/jump up and down, when prompted button like the original.
TLOU Remake literally took the worse animations & gameplay mechanics from the 1st one, they haven't even taken the better animations, simulations from the 2nd game (more on that in the 2nd paragraph), the same enemy voice-lines, same brain-dead Ellie walking in front of enemies' sights, even the graphics look weird & have that unpolished unfinished feeling to them.TLOU Pt I

They're probably cooking a ps5 version up so they can sell both games as a bundle. To add more: And here, game developers is why you should put out your real 4k hdr trailers before leakers do 480p leaks.
It’s not shadow of the colossus or demons souls scale remake at all. Is just new models.
Don’t get me wrong, it looks great but tlou1 plays like an old stiff game and the ladder puzzles suck. Tlou2 plays and flows better. I just wish we got real ps5 port of that
Define woke agenda.that started with disgruntled Christian employees who were being harassed and forced play along with ND's toxic woke agenda and started leaking things out in retaliation.
Fuck Naughty Dog, and Fuck Neil Druckmann.
The empire is crumbling and their overrated trash is finally getting called out.
No one is excited for this game and the 'remake' looks like a lazy low-effort conjob.
The Gaming media might keep you afloat with inflated scores and undeserved praise but everyone else is wise to you now.
You Lose, Naughty Dog.
SSM was silent about Ragnarok for ages and they're still silent, aside from the cinematic trailer and the pre-order trailer.Their silence about this project shows a big lack of confidence.
They are sending this game to die with zero marketing after the Geoff show. Random indies were there too so it was probably free to participate. Stray and Ghostwire Tokyo had more exposure than this.
Jason and the leakers did all the work.
They're silent because they know if they showed GOWR gameplay early, you’ll see it’s the same as the 2018 one down to almost everything, even the 2021 trailer had the same enemies almost with the same 1:1 animations, not saying it’s bad but understandable for Sony Santa Monica.SSM was silent about Ragnarok for ages and they're still silent, aside from the cinematic trailer and the pre-order trailer.
Being silent means nothing.
The game will be released on september and they'll market the hell out of it.
Stray got a lot of exposure a few weeks before the game was released, they were radio silent for centuries.
This is how Sony markets game now. Instead of building hype through the heavens years before the game is released, like MS does and then crash and burn when the game doesn't meet expectations, Sony markets the game a month and a few weeks before it's released and it's clearly working.
That makes absolutely no sense. Sony changed their marketing cycle and that's all there is to it. No conspiracy theories here. please. They're silent because they know if they showed GOWR gameplay early, you’ll see it’s the same as the 2018 one down to almost everything, even the 2021 trailer had the same enemies almost with the same 1:1 animations, not saying it’s bad but understandable for Sony Santa Monica.
that is fake. you didn't play God of War, or didn't watched trailer. because if you did, you won't say that. They're silent because they know if they showed GOWR gameplay early, you’ll see it’s the same as the 2018 one down to almost everything, even the 2021 trailer had the same enemies almost with the same 1:1 animations, not saying it’s bad but understandable for Sony Santa Monica.
It is the same controls… you jump via QTE in places that allow it… same for climb.Nope.
