Playing old classics. Just beat (not completed) Need for Speed Underground 2. With a couple of patches the game can still look the part. Now playing Outrun 2006.

Fun games, run smoothly on any toaster, look sharp... game studios have to set their priorities straight instead of UE5, Raytracing and Nanite...
Give the best NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 a play

I'm kinda addicted to the speed run in Astro Bot. Can't believe someone got below 29 seconds. Crazy!
I saw you had 40 seconds on the first speedrun level the other night. I actually don't know how people are getting 27s, I felt that I could maybe get 32-33s on an optimal run

I've improved that time, I'm down to around 35.5 or something like that now.

But i have no idea where I can cut more time off...

I’m gonna take the plunge and try Throne and Liberty. Briefly saw some good impressions from skillup’s brother and continue to see it doing strong with engagement. Looks like it’s doing something right. F2P mmorpg available on PlayStation.

I know some people who have been going extremely hard on this game for several weeks now. I guess they're doing something right.

You did better than me.. granted I only played like 3 times... I think I'm at 38 seconds but... I'm too lazy to learn the short cuts and short bursts routine.

Well for that first level, I think there is a way to short burst, instead of using long boosts forward....I can't seem to master it like they are to get the sub 30 times or even get under 34

I just finished SKALD: Against the Black Priory. It's a surprisingly good indie CRPG from a solo developer. Obviously, it doesn't hit the story telling highs of mega CRPGs like BG3, or DOS2, but it's very reasonably paced, and can be beaten in under 20 hours easily.

For how simple the game is, it still has a fun combat and RPG system which frequently keeps you progressing all the way until the end of the game. Without spoiling anything, it was also an unexpected horror title, which is much appreciated in the month of October.

Mostly been playing Dead Space remake on XSX via Gamepass this week.

Played through the end of Chapter 6 and all of 7 and 8 tonight before calling it a night at the start of Chapter 9. Around 10.5 hours in and really liking it. Never played the orginal or it’s sequels.

Also still trying to slog through Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Have played it in bursts here and there since launch. Have 2 temples down and saved at the start of the fire temple, but haven’t played in a month or so. If nothing else, I’ll play some on cross country flights and some hotel nights on work trip next month.

Keep meaning to get back to Helldivers 2 as well.

Beyond that, just have some things I’m holding off for on PS5 to play on the Pro when I get it in a couple weeks. Spider-Man 2, RE4 Remake. May play Dragon Age Veilguard first if it reviews alright and gets decent impressions as I’ve loved the first 3 in the series and kind of in the mood for an RPG.

I really enjoyed Dead Space Remake as well! Very nice space horror vibe, and it's a looker on high graphics settings.

TotK was a bit of a slog for me. They recycled SO many elements from BotW, and many thing were just not super compelling. The dungeons in particular were a huge disappointment with almost all of them working the same way, and every boss fight ending the exact same.

Spiderman and RE4 were both good games (I'm preferable to RE4.)
