I feel MS is doing OEM to kill off xbox. Market crash in 1983 was cause of console saturation and crap games. They will make like 5 OEM xbox and in 3 years cancel them and port everything to PS5/PS6 and Nintendo and the fans will be fine and blame the market, not MS.

Yeah but Xbox One is also ranked above PS4. X1 isn't in production anymore whereas the PS4 still gets recent ports, like both SF6 and RE4. PC also gets most Indies first and it's a lot harder to get on console if you're not backed by a publisher so seeing PC tank top isn't really a surprise.
It's 100% since who will be allowed to talk like that from the big publishers. Capcom killed the dead rising dev for favoring xbox.

not sure why it should be easier for an indie team to "support dozens of different hardware configurations" than a team backed by a major publisher with a budget in the tens of millions.

All the time actually - which is why you only have 3 console manufacturers, 2 major OS on "PC" (Windows/Mac), and 4 major hardware vendors (AMD, Nvidia, Intel, ARM).

My comment had nothing to do with competition, no idea how you read it and came to that conclusion....
There MUST have been one or two of them, but nobody I know ever encountered one.
This sounds good in an xbox echo chamber. Unlike the 90's and PC space.Xbox OS is not the dominant ,only player around ,it is the weakest player in console space. Its is on decline so badly. They are are also cancelling hard copy disks. Nobody is gonna go pick up an Asus/samsung/toshiba box to play Xbox games.
These guys can't even sell a box at ÂŁ130-150. But Asus/samsung will? With a dying brand?? Samsung having trouble selling phones but will now sell Xbox how?? Who's wasting marketing budgets to sell oem xboxes. When trillion dollar MSbudget cant get sales.
This is funny as hell.PS won. Just bend the knee. And negotiate preload of xbox gamepass on every device.
