The Insomniac files that details X-Men way out in 2030 doesn’t even have that game on PC day one.

Sony doesn’t have any incentive to do that. Anybody saying otherwise is a green rat troll trying to bring PlayStation down with the sinking ship that is Xbox.

Helldivers 2 is a day one game on PC already. TLoU Part I, Concord and Fairgame$ were revealed for PS5 and PC at the same time.

There is nothing about being a green rat when you simply have the capability to notice what is going on. 5 years ago we hardly had any PS game ever ported to PC, now we have all their IPs making their way to PC, whenever they open their mouth it's to talk about PC and how they are going to expand beyond consoles.

They clearly take their position on the console market for granted, nothing seems beyond them at this point, specially once Xbox is completely dead.

What are you going to do if Sony starts to release all their games day one on PC?

It has been a slippery slope with Sony this gen when it comes to PC. That much can't be denied. If anything, they should be considering ways to make PlayStation more competitive with PC to lure even more PC stalwarts over to a hardware platform under their control. Accelerating ports of non-GaaS titles to platforms like Steam would be equivalent to SIE sharpening their own knife to them backstab themselves, and blame it on an invisible person.

Like it or not exclusivity is a big part of what creates value, in virtually anything. Do you see Disney distributing Warner Bros. films or vice-versa? Do you see Hyundai making Nissan cars or vice-versa? Usually, the ones closer to the top who want to drive away hard-set definitions of exclusivity are shareholders who have stock in competing brands, because for them it's only about how to maximize revenue based on theoretical conditions and calculations.

But they're also usually the first ones surprised when in certain cases the reality doesn't match the theories. This is what we've seen happen with Xbox. It's what I don't want to see happen with Sony or Nintendo. Supporting other platforms outside the ecosystem with content is fine, but not in ways that can be so easily seen as devaluing the centerpiece of your ecosystem (the console), that regular people can see that and call it out.

Just "doing better than Xbox" isn't going to do much for PlayStation going forward, since Xbox as a console is at its lowest point in history. Now Sony need to set their sights on how to have unique value proposition versus PC and PC platforms like Steam; giving away your biggest hits that aren't GaaS to those platform with small & shrinking windows is more like SIE playing a game of checkers, not chess.

Ironic if you remember their advert from 2020/2021.

I just mean mobile specific or genshin style games.

Destiny mobile etc
It'll be impossible to bring AAA titles to mobile unless it's through streaming
Nowadays there are phones and tablets more powerful than a Switch, and to put there games made with Unreal Engine or Unity is super easy, requires little porting if the game is scalable enough.

We saw games like Fortnite, Genshin Inpact, PUBG, and now even games using other engines like Resident Evil 4 Remake or Death Stranding.

I know guys working on CoD Warzone Mobile, and when publicly announced it they mentioned they want to make it crossplay with the console and PC versions, as happens in games like Fortnite or Genshin Impact. So Infinity Ward bought that mobile gaming studio and opened a new Infinity Ward studio here that would work on the console+PC Warzone, who will be sharing office with the mobile gaming team.

Meaning, in the future it will be even more common to see -mostly F2P GaaS- games released in console + PC + mobile featuring crossplay between all 3 platforms, specially since the perceived horsepower (lost detail is less visible in a small screen) gap between phones, consoles and PC keeps getting smaller.

Even still if the possibility is given, that MS could be transitioning into Multi-platform publishing, they cannot be trusted. Remember that not only MS are a threat to Sony’s business, although companies like Tencent, NetEase and Saudis Fonds. Sony should now after the ActiBlizz drama is sorted out, try to acquire Square Enix following several smaller studios: like ShiftUp, Pearl Abyss, ArrowHead and Ballistic Moon. With this mergers Sony would never need to fear losing a close partner.

I mean makes sense that they should. If MS is going the publishing route they're not going to stop with Activision they'll keep trying to pull more under their umbrella and stranglehold the competition. If anything them going publisher this will just encourage them to buy up more.
