There was a rumor last 2 years that they were working on a GaaS. Looking at their new time-line, I am glas Insomniac is no longer working on GaaS shit. ND followed.
So, it is clear that Jim leaving corrolates to SIE studios droping the GaaS shit. I do believe that Guerilla will drop that Horizon GaaS shit too.
I hope Sony weren't stupid enough to rely on Bungie to greenlight other GaaS projects. That would give Bungie the opportunity to kill off potential competition to Destiny LOL (or even worse, sabotage it).

Isnt it crazy that when Sony gets hacked its all about games, road maps for games, and deals for games. When MS "accidently" leaks their FTC documents its corporate execs talking about hostile take over of the games industry and spending competitors out of business.

I believe Wolverine was the exception of announcing early because of Marvel.
Sony use to announce games years ahead last generation. They stated they weren’t going to do that anymore and only announce some games closer to release.
The funny thing is people were actually complaining that Sony announces games too early.
They didn't announce anything else early but also didn't release much of anything.
Do you think they still have 2024 AAA games to announce? At this point even 2025 unannounced AAA games seem a little bit too optimistic to me.
That Horizon GaaS looked like complete ass. If Factions didn't make you'd hope that didn't make it as well.
Its not in their roadmap or team layout and I think people confirmed it was a Spiderman 2 side-project so they're doing Venom instead (or just a DC and going fullbore on Wolverine if it needs more devs.)
Well Venom is 2025 and they haven't announced that yet. I would be shocked if they didn't have something for then.
I believe we will see at least one big and one small game in 2024 from their first party yes.
Might just be DLC no? We had rumors a about GoW Ragnarok "Miles Morales/Lost Legacy" and we got a free DLC.

Maybe because such a game is a potential showcase game for PS5 Pro if the hardware is real. It's a raytracing showcase of the improved hardware.
