MS was banking on being able to open a Xbox store on Apple without having to pay a Apple fee bypassing & undermining Apple as a competitor & enjoying there platform for “free” this is why they wana continue buying publishers (Steam/Valve & Sega with family friendly ip wouldn’t be surprising in the next 5 to 10 years) to further gain IP, at the end ip ownership what matters when you have a storefront cod mobile, candy crush & future games no longer showing up on the Apple App Store would be a big blow long term ofc Apple would be mad this is just gonna force Apple & Google to consolidate the gaming industry further & secure game developers & ip if governments allow platform to being undermined

Because peoples library's,purchases are tied to other eco system ID's.People are not gonna leave their library's with £1000 of dollars spent.There are more games than 1-2 popular games. People will miss out on those games. Additionally new games will be made to replace those 1-2 games that were taken out the app store. Destroying the value of those 1-2 IPs over years.

They have fate grand order under Sony music and PlayStation should just focus on console 100%.

All mobile should be under a different division.

I wanna play more games so I'll try to ignore ur statement about mobile games as ridiculous as it sounds...right now I play Sackboy on mobile when I'm bored and I wanna play more single player or live service, Sony must expand and I don't know where u get the idea that PlayStation should stop making more games ,why would they get distracted by doing what they always did which is creating games...the last thing Sony needs right now is Microsoft having more till Xbox starts making more money, as they still produce Xbox consoles they might change their mind and stay in the console manufacturing business.

True, you don't build an install base with 1 or 2 big games, as you say it has become harder to switch.

However, some people will pick your console if you have them, then if these really good games keep coming a couple of times per year more people will buy in and things will pickup.

This is not like they had done this for 10 years now, they have done nothing to get a true gamer's attention (they have focused only on services and business models). Their best games are Ori and that cartoon run and gun game... Nice but hardly system selling arguments, especially when they are years a part.

That doesn't work when Sony and Nintendo have their games dropping left and right all the time and all your AAA games are mildly good in the best of times (Gears 5 was OK it seems)... And disastrous most of the time.

This is all excuses made up by incompetent executives, Phil killed Xbox when he cancelled that dragon game on the xbone. This is the day Xbox died as a viable gaming platform.
