hell no!!! that place is full of nothing but clueless and deranged fanboys. 90% of them are pro Xbox and Nintendo and anti PS. The #1 admin on that site has been yapping about imaginary shortages for the past year.

I have no idea why I'm posting this, except that I'm bored and eagerly anticipate the NPD numbers later today, so i thought I'd share my hardware sales spreadsheet with anybody who wants it. Year / Period Playstation 2 Xbox Gamecube Gameboy Advance Comment 2000 / Q4...
Note: Nintendo also tanking. Physical sales are basically the only revenue source they have. Hardware didn't register, software barely charted. They have no online subscription revenue to speak of. Down from 2 platforms to 1. They desperately need a Switch 2. We haven't seen sales this low for the Nintendo ecosystem since the early WiiU days.
Nintendo has a bit more of an excuse given how old the Switch is and the fact that many know that a Switch 2 is coming soon.
Was PS4 1.1 or 1.2 that year? Installbase's thread has them at 1.2. 1.1 to 1.05 is negligible but a drip from 1.2 is sharper. Then again, PS5 average price is much higher, and I'm not sure if PS4 ever hit the heights PS5 did last November.
I think they coulda sold more PS5's if they had more real exclusives. Not PS and PC games... just PS5.
This "Play anywhere" bullshit didn't work for Xbox and I just can't understand why Sony want to try this suicidal move.

Yes PS4 actually reached the same heights and In-Fact did over 1.5 million in 2015 both November and December. And Around 1.2 million November 2016.
Fuck em. I hope this doesn't sound too bitter but I hope they burn to the ground if that's their play for the long-term.
Exactly, if/when they miss their 25m console goal, I hope they rethink their strategy. The success of the PS4 can only push you so far. They also need a good showcase with actual first party announcements (Marathon and Concord aren’t that). PS5 2024 is great but only because of 3rd party exclusives.
