its the correct version to play because the performance is ass on consoles. thats why the score is lower on the ps5 version.

i did see a video title a few days ago where it said DD2 improved on many things from the original and even got rid of some negative parts of the first.
I only saw the video title and did not watch it, what have you discovered that ruins it for you?
The pawn AI is dumb, I mean 2-3 year old kid dumb. Other people have to use your pawn so it learns, that means if no one uses your pawn then it will stay dumb. The fast travel system was so frustrating, there was only 1 save slot, the 24 fps "cinematic experience". People will forgive this game because its multiplatform, suddenly variable 30 fps will become enjoyable but FF7 having a perfect 30 fps mode and a soft IQ 60 fps mode was a letdown.
Its not exactly a much better looker compared to the likes of RE4, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon 2, Spiderman 2, Alan Wake 2, Ratchet and Clank, which all were 60fps and look as good if not better that DD2

The graphics aren't sub par. If anything, they're ott for what they need to be. Reduce visual bells and whistles to give a better frame rate.
I played the original at 30fps on xbox360 so I won't give too much of a shit if it's 30fps this time.

It's 90 on PC with way less reviews it'll most likely drop too.
Here, we have 8h of video.
1 huge thing which can be frustrating that there is big open world, but there is no horses, if you are running, you depleting stamina and you can't fight, fast travel also limited.
Combined all 3 and it is huge negative for open world game, no bullshiting gonna save it as it is big L.
Players have spoken.
There's also the fact that in the RPG space there's a lot of different factions which like one type of RPG over another.
And one of them is def the "I want my RPG to kick me in the teeth and tell me nothing about how I should proceed next".
Dragon's Dogma is in that space.
Which is why it's CPU bound for the most part.
Considering Dragon's Dogma OG also had really bad performance might point to a sign that projects directed by Itsuno that are not corridors(DMC) just aren't performant due to project management.
It might also be that RE engine doesn't scale too well once environment and simulations get too large(might be a glimpse in the future w/ Monster Hunter Wilds). DD2 is the first open-world RE game.
That and more, all things I have no way of knowing of course.
