Sony is planning to double the investment in tradicional games (yes more single-player games coming) and at the same time increase the GAAS investment (that needs more money) to reach the point to have the same number of titles of tradicional business.

In simple examples…

Sony is launching 3 traditional games per year? They want to increase that to 4.
While they want to support 4 GaaS titles at same time.

Instead of having 3 games being released/supported per year they want to have something like 8.

That is how visionary Sony is being with gaming.

It's pretty obvious that MS has already completely given up on this gen. The first 3 years were just putrid, with the lowest possible effort.

Picture MS launching a console in 2027, with a re-brand, with a portable version while owning Xbox Studios + Blizzard + Activision + Sega, with actual games coming this time, with Japanese publishers like SE and Capcom being paid to support it. They already spend about $80B in four years, they are all in.

Nah, launching the next generation is now, they do as good as they can. Some people will jump in and tell the word out others will then get the fomo and they will be ready to buy from them the next time around.

Obviously, they will keep kicking the can down the road and tell us to wait until next E3... which won't happen.

For the people that think quantity doesn't win over quality just look at what happened to the movie/TV business Netflix destroyed the market, produces an ocean of trash but on, the quality only decreases, their offerings getting drastically worse and yet it's somehow winning over every other streaming service.

Those people already had the chance to play that great game for the past 13 years, for the other platforms it was available on during that time.

If there was someone genuinely refusing to play it on PS or PC out of spite, just to maybe finally get it on Xbox, they weren't ever genuinely interested in the first place.

Maybe they were interested but not enough to buy a console. Idk why anyone would get worked up over such an old game anyways
