It's not about the game itself; it's about Microsoft's end-game and them potentially leveraging this game as a means of sweeping in to later down the line, just outright acquire Square-Enix. This, after months of them paying congress people to fabricate claims of Sony blocking Japanese games from releasing on Xbox, and galvanizing their fans to do the same. This, after Microsoft themselves were the reason XIV took 13 years to reach Xbox due to ass-backwards policies they held on for so long. This, after leaked emails showing that Microsoft wrote up pitches to propose an acquisition of Square-Enix and other 3P publishers who see the vast majority of their sales success on PlayStation (and whom Sony seemingly have close partnerships with).
It's all of these things adding on top of one another, it's not simply isolated to XIV finally getting an Xbox port. To the genuine people out there who haven't had a hateboner for Square-Enix all this time, or tried downplaying the success of their games that happen to be PlayStation exclusives, haven't been port-begging since forever and just want a FF game to play on their Xbox? Cool for them, I'm glad they get another option. But there are a LOT of people who aren't like that, have weaponized SE PS exclusives to attack PS for years, and now are teasing MS acquiring SE or getting stuff like XVI "in quick order" or other nonsense, and Microsoft enabled that to fester and grow. They encouraged it.
Hopefully you understand the big picture POV on this.
