Horizon Forbidden West cracked and pirated within 30 seconds of release.

Can’t blame PC gamers PS are the one who’s releasing there games on PC a platform known to pirate games as a consumer if you can play a game free where on the PS platform you have to pay $70 you’d ignore the latter & wait to play PS games for free. Nintendo wants 100% of all sales & get you to bend the knee to invest & interact on the Nintendo storefront
you're all really just thriving on this "all PC gamers are pirates" rhetoric instead of looking at it and understanding that it is more likely all the hype the game had has died out since its release TWO YEARS AGO.

If all PC gamers are pirates, then why is Steam still around? why are people still putting their games on steam? How are they still making profit? Ask yourself these questions and you'll understand.

Just so you know, you've been blocked so I don't have to see your misinformation cluttering up threads again, but make sure to let me know if you ever do produce a graph, a table, or anything at all that goes against the fact that PC IS DEAD, just like Xbox.
man you can live in your world where PC is dead, we will continue living in reality. PC is going nowhere.

its literally #4 top sellers right now.
Ranking is meaningless on the day of release. Even the smallest of indie gets on top. It doesn't take much to sell on Steam.

We are comparing with Horizon 1, Days Gone or more recent games like Yakuza, Tekken or Persona. Forbidden West is way below other AAAs.

Late ports doesn't matter. Horizon 1 was also a late port and it was years ago, when Steam was smaller. Below GOW, Spider-Man and TLOU.

All you PC port-beggars celebrating Steam rankings remind me of Xbots celebrating Stray number 1 on Xbox. Useless.

Ok, replicate what I just did. Good luck buying new controllers as they fly off into space.

What is with this sick obsession of being wrong about something? These controllers are not designed the same, it's not intended to work like an Index controller...

Why is that such a problem where this becomes this defensive need to argue with me about this?

NO VR controller straps to your hand in this fashion for "hands free" function, why the need to lie as if that's in any way an incorrect statement?

Bizarre behavior, and to think this craziness all started because I said this...

"I'll stick with my index controllers, once you get a controller that you realize you don't actually have to hold on to it changes everything."

A COMPLETELY FACTUAL STATEMENT...
Because the PSVR2 comes with straps. No one is asking for index straps because the controllers fly off into space, they're asking for straps because it's inconvenient to re-grasp the controllers if you have to let go of them (to adjust your headset or something) since they dangle. You are obviously here with an agenda to shit on everything Sony, and you couldn't be more transparent.

If the hype died for this game years ago then why did it get cracked within minutes of release? Pirates don't often crack shit that people don't care about.

Denuvo were use to be cracked on day one when hackers were interesting in game and months or over year if they weren't.

4 years since HZD was announced on PC. Are we really doing this tired song and dance for every single PC port? Even with multiple threads now?

This year alone we will have alongside Forbidden West, Tsushima, Until Dawn, Helldivers 2 some other between Ragnarok, Last of Us 2/Demons Souls... Spiderman 2 is unofficially already, improving on a daily basis, Wolverine sure as hell is releasing as well. Even PSVR2 got ported.

Which phase are we in? It can't be denial at this point in time. Clearly it's not acceptance for a lot of folk. Anger? Bargain?

I can understand the frustration but you areny aiming correctly. At face value you can see, PC folks getting lots of legacy games, console folks not getting that many new games. New games take a shit ton of time. Feeling underserved, mistreated... but that's not due to the PC ports themselves.

Sony Bought a best in class studio for that endeavour. A studio that could be working on ports of multiplatform games to prevent crap like the Jedi game, Dragons Dogma 2 or FFVII Remake from happening the way they did.

The main reason begging what's happening is Sony going ALL IN with GaaS. They want their own Fortnite at any cost and are throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks with many single player studios. Your anger should be focused there. But eventually Sony will change, they always do every couple of generations.

There will come a time when people get tired of these big western blockbuster single player games, and Sony will have to pivot to something different. They can't wait for the Ant and the Wasp superhero game to bomb in 2028 for them to realize, they have to act now.

If eventually MS decides to go out of the console race, and power game I think it would be good for Sony to go back to their roots in spirit. The pre Uncharted 2 era. Where alongside their biggest game (GT) they had more experimental games that were allowed to bomb in many cases but filled the catalog better.
Yes, we will discuss it every time, and you’ll complain about it every time 😂

Why do you want to silence people?

The only beggars here are the ones begging Sony to stop doing PC ports, while performing some exceptional feats of mental gymnastics in the process.

Then support the damn games. And tell your buddies to do the same.

It's pathetic not being able to break 2 million on huge IPs that sold over 10 million on PS.

There's no growth to be had on PC for these games. In fact, they sell less and less with each new release.

I already own every single Sony game on Steam, some of which I double dipped, so I don't know what to tell you.

The numbers they are doing are fine for the high price 1-2 year late release scheme, and Sony appears to be happy with them.

PC peeps need to get used to paying full price for games, or they simply won't get them. We've already gone through this before and all the AAA games fled to console because of piracy 20 years ago. Are you going to learn from your mistakes or are you going to keep making them? It doesn't matter if it's a 2 year old game on console, you weren't buying a console anyway. Pay the price for the game.

There's a lot to unpack here.
PC peeps need to get used to paying full price for games, or they simply won't get them.
If we're specifically talking about PlayStation Studios games getting released on Steam, 1-2 years after the fact at a full $59.99 while, in this particular instance, the PSN store has had it on sale for $29.99 multiple times and even free with PS+ at one point, the majority of PC "peeps" will most likely wait for a Steam sale, when its price gets somewhat closer to its console counterpart. Impatient people will pay the early adopter tax and even then, can get slightly cheaper keys on release day from Gamebillet or GreenManGaming like I did. And guess what? We're still getting PlayStation Studios PC ports. More are coming.

What? Are you really comparing people waiting for games to get cheaper to piracy? You are aware there are also similar discounts people wait for on the console side, right? Additionally, people even buy used physical copies of console games, which isn't possible in the PC space, and no revenue at all is collected by the publisher for those. This is where your post goes off the deep end. It is okay for people to wait for deals on games if the price that game is sitting at is not attractive to them. It's not piracy, and Sony is perhaps being a tad greedy expecting people to pay that price for a game on PC while it's cheaper on their console. They're free to charge whatever they want, and clearly this pricing is working for them, otherwise they would change their strategy. Potential consumers are also free to wait for a lower price if they aren't willing to pay the current one. As for "you weren't buying a console anyway", I literally have a PS5 sitting next to my PC. I've owned almost every single console released in the US since the NES, with very few exceptions.
Pay the price for the game.

Why does it matter if it was on sale on console? You didn't buy a console. The console price has no bearing on you. You want the sale price, then buy a console and get it for cheap. Also, you're only getting PC ports now because the Sony leadership is dumb as fuck and don't care that they're literally sabotaging their own brand for a few pennies on the next quarterly reports. And it's been largely a waste of time and effort. When PS6 rolls around and half of their userbase no longer buys one because they're getting all the games on PC anyway, then you'll see what happens.

We're in a thread about how the newest game from Sony was cracked within minutes and pirated. As were all the other Sony games. Maybe you should learn to keep up. The point is if Sony doesn't get money for porting the games, then you won't get them any more. Buying a game 75% off means Sony gets barely any money, so they have zero incentive to port further games.
same back to you bud

If you don't want to pay full price for a brand new game on your platform, get a console. Easy fix. But you'd like to have your cake and eat it too. It's a brand new game on PC. Speaking in general here, not you.

What difference does the timline make? It's not a GaaS so it doesn't depend on day 1 hype and player numbers. SP games don't age like that.

Sony seems happy with it short term, yes. I can't find the source any more but they said in an interview the exact percentage of theirnprofits from these ports. Was high at the time but that was after the first Horizon game, which sold the most.

We'll see how it affects them long term.

Um, I bought a console. I have a console.
The console price has no bearing on you.
Sure it does, that's how much the game is worth in the console space.
You want the sale price, then buy a console and get it for cheap.
Did I mention that I have a PS5? Because I have one. It will get cheap on PC too, and I can wait.

My brother in Christ, you opened up the post I responded to with "PC peeps need to get used to paying full price for games." That line is the entire reason I'm going this hard right now, in addition to equating people not wanting to pay said full price to pirates. Because it was the opening line in your post.

If you already have the game on console then why are you qq'ing about Sony charging full price? I'm not talking to people like you. It's the people who have been waiting for 2+years for the game, then when it comes out they don't buy it and complain because Sony is charging them $70 and it was already out on console.

Did I say I already have the game on console? No. I said I have the console.

My point is that people can qq about the full price and wait until it goes down to buy the game, that's how the market works and it works that way in the console space just as much if not more so due to the impact of physical media.

Sony should beat Steam players with nude, sex, and gun mods to get them interested.

Otherwise, it is just a waste of resources.
