What he is doing is still legally breaking in.

As in...you can't just walk into someone's house and be like "the door is wide open your honor, how was i breaking in doe" lol
You're complaining about this?
..... and not what RE5make will have Chris doing, gunning down all the POC civilians? LOL

Sure legally but remember, he saw Leon coming (presumably because he knew he was probably looking for the presidents daughter) and choose to go into his house instead of meet Leon outside. Its not like his house had a doorbell or anything. I don't know how laws work in small villages like that but is blocking the path to the village considered breaking the law as well? We don't know if that was his truck per say but considering they used the way they did i wouldn't consider them innocent

Also let me add the guy was innocent as he was under Saddlers control but let's not forget saddler set up that situation so Leon would have no choice but go into the guys house

no either ors please, all that shit was crazy lol

presumably because he knew he was probably looking for the presidents daughter

yea but you don't know that.

Leon still goes in there, kills the dude when he defends his house, so you don't even know if he just killed some random citizen JUST because he spoke funny to him while he was breaking into his home....

choose to go into his house instead of meet Leon outside.

Thats his right to do that...

but is blocking the path to the village considered breaking the law as well?

We don't know if that person did that who is the home owner though, it would still be breaking and entering LEON lol

i wouldn't consider them innocent

Also let me add the guy was innocent as he was under Saddlers control

nah, we don't know that about 100% of everyone Leon kills and at the time he kills this person, he doesn't know of Saddler to pretend that he is doing this under some concept of stopping some other bad guy using the person or something, all we know at that time is he walks into some else house, the man defends himself, Leon kills him...thats it.

I find it funny and I feel its should be changed in the remake as he is basically just murdering a random person who is defending their home. Thats all that is actually happening there.

Thats like killing someone and being like "he would have turned into a Zombie"

oh he was bit?

"ok, no..but what had happen waz" lol

It means at the time we don't know that information and Leon is simply killing him and in the limited context of that time frame, its just a person defending their house against some random person with a gun...

I understand it is absolutely his right to defend his home but there is no denying it was a setup. Before Leon could even leave the house he gets an axe swung at him. Then if you try to leave the house there are a gang of people blocking the door so you can't leave of you want to. If he needed to defend his house why didn't the other people give Leon the choice to leave after he was attacked? We are dealing with a cult not a bunch of free people.. Also yes we don't know its that guys truck but it's somebody's truck from that village and it was put there purposefully so people would have no choice but to check with that villager. Lastly it is pointless weather or not Leon knew if that guy was under Saddlers control as said before, his option to leave was taken away from him before he could of even left anyway.

I feel like in the remake the entire opening needs to be reimagined because I think you guys need to consider that Leon is basically going to some foreign country breaking into a person's house and that person is speaking their own native language, tries to defend themselves against an intruder in their home and Leon kills them and makes it sound like he is the victim lol

The remake will be like RE8 Village but in third person.

It was obvious an RE4 remake was in the works when they showed RE8.

They are gonna use the same assets to make RE4 remake.

but that could have nothing to do with the person Leon killed and Leon doesn't know that info before he kills him....

I don't see enough here to justify this shooting sir.

As it stands, he broke in a house, home owner defends his home, Leon kills him via felony murder, as in " It doesn't matter whether the death was intentional or accidental—the defendant is liable for it" as he did this um..."in commission of a crime" lol Thinking of it as him being on trial, any information regarding Saddler or a car blocking the road or anything like that doesn't excuse the crime. It still is exactly as said, he goes to the home aka trespasses, home owner fights him as its his right to defend his home, Leon kills him.

It would be like saying "ok your honor, but the man my client killed may have been part of MS-13 and Leon was setup later"

Was that knowledgeable or known during this event? No wild circumstance lands Leon in the home, he choose to go there and I think it would be even harder to explain this from Leon's perspective cause he isn't some lay person, HE IS A FORMER COP! All that would argue is he is aware of what he is doing is a crime.

so imho, I think maybe it just makes more sense to have this encounter happen differently as be is doing this shit BEFORE even fucking knows of Saddler, the cult, giants and shit lol Thats like having a character kill someone in a zombie game BEFORE he finds out about zombies and pretending he is a good guy, we will wonder what he was doing breaking in that home and killing that person as the "zombie" excuse can't work, he doesn't know yet. Keep in mind, this is something that always puzzled me and I had a good laugh about it, but it makes Leon's character seem like a self absorbed scumbag. He isn't looking for help after killing him, isn't puzzled why it occurred, just starts making it sound like killing everyone is normal and NOW he finds out about some cult.

there are a gang of people blocking the door so

They have no association to my client and that has no relevance to this case...your honor, can you strike that last comment from the record, its clear RE4 Station wants to win this based on putting the VICTUM on trial and racially profiling him lol That might work in Pennsylvania Mr.Station, but NOT HERE in NY.

did purposefully ignore the part of Leon being trapped in house in my post and could not leave without killing.

Anyway your honor "EDMIX" has wrongfully applied to word "Murder" to my client Leon Scott Kennedy!
The definition of Murder is " the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another"
Leon had no time to plan the killing of Mr. Don Jose The village guard of "El Pueblo" as he stumbled upon the area with no prior knowledge of who and what was to be there once he arrived.

could not leave without killing.

That literally sounds like the one comment that would send Leon to jail for life lol

Be like "well...you heard it here yourself folks, he couldn't bring himself to leave....without MURDER"

(jury gasp)

"Was his bloodlust that unquenchable?"

You "Objectio-"
Me "withdrawn"

(they can't unhear that shit doe) lol

Leon had no time to plan the killing of Mr. Don Jose The village guard of "El Pueblo" as he stumbled upon the area with no prior knowledge of who and what was to be there once he arrived.

"Of course, Leon had no knowledge of Mr. Jose's service to his country, no knowledge of his volunteering for his grandson's little league games, community activism, instead he assumed he was part of a cult, if only Leon had a given a chance to Mr. Jose instead of breaking into his home and murdering him. He died doing what he has done his whole life, defending his honor, home and most of all...family"

Looks at Jury for dramatic reaction lol

He getting convicted with all that, the more he doesn't know simply makes him sound incompetent being a former cop, but incompetence isn't a defense (not a good one anyway) for former law enforcement. They are often held to a higher standard.

edit. and felony murder is you did a crime that resulted in someone dying regardless of intent.
Leon doesn't even check the body, he doesn't give fuck after the claps him lol I'd bring all that up.

be like "and after you realized what you did how soon did you phone EMS"
Leon "well..I'm in another country, I didn't know-"

me being the bitch that I am "WOOOW seems like there is a lot you don't know Leon, so you rendered zero aid even after realizing this error?"

Your honor "EDMIX" has purposefully given Don Jose a feel bad backstory of having a family and raising a kid to give public perception a negative view of my client Leon.
Mr Don Jose is not only single and has no wife anymore, it turns out he forced his only son to take plaga at an too early age tragically killing young Don jose jr in the process and has been promoted to village guard by Chief Mendez to keep any attention off the Los Illuminados cult and their alleged involvement with the kidnapping of Ashley Graham.

lol I so would.

I'ma be like "who will speak for Don, after all....he is the victim here"

lol "mere allegations your honor to slander his good name"

(I'd hire people to pretend to be his family) Be like "I need you to speak Mexican to them and tell them you love Don and he was a good man"

anything for that W! lol I feel as it stands, its a case that would be really, really hard to win for Leon. The only way I see it working is if something gets him in the home that is life threating or of a wild circumstance, if its him just walking in, he is still responsible for all his actions in that home. In the remake they can have him get attacked on sight regardless of where he is, lured into the home or something. At the time of this scene, he simply doesn't know enough to make his actions just, but I think with games we are able to allow that level of disbelief a bit, but I feel strongly this is a scene that can be done better to paint Leon in a better light.

Is this a joke? RE 4 had AMAZING gameplay. Some people just disliked it because it was the first action RE. RE 2 remake proved RE 4 had the best gameplay in the series. I don't like the first person gameplay that much tbh. I'm okey with it but RE is best in 3rd person. 😕

Well I think you are confusing the movement with the core concepts of design.
I don't think anyone is disputing how it actually moves or feels, they are questioning the action design and removing of core concepts like limited ammo, saves, puzzles etc.

All that is in RE2.

RE2 proves if anything that such a concept would have worked fine with zombies, limited ammo, health and saves and the could have still had the movement and over the shoulder etc. So to make it clear, many are not against its gameplay in terms of movement, feeling etc, simply the design of the concept around removal of the core RE elements. So imho, for what RE is...its best with its CORE ELEMENTS of limited ammo, health, weapons and having puzzles etc.

Regardless of first person or 3rd person. Context is needed to understand what we are talking about.

RE4 is indeed a change in how 3rd-person action games gameplay was made... it was one of the first to change for better the formula.

But that has nothing to so with it being a bad Resident Evil game imo.
Capcom basically removed most of the feature that are know for being a Resident Evil game.

And yes camera perspective or not.... RE7 is more a Resident Evil game than RE4 ever wished for.

Is it?
For me they pertence at completely different genres... Survival Horror vs Action.

RE4 game is a great action game with nothing about Survival Horror.
There is no limited inventory management, no tense atmosphere, no spooky and mysterious setting, puzzles, etc

Yeap RE7 has action (which games doesn't have... Silent Hill has action too) but the focus is completely different.

RE4 focus in action sequences, no jump scares, infinite ammo and items, melee attacks, joke tones in story, etc.

What make a good Survival Horror is the extreme opposite: you feel vulnerable, puzzles, inventory management, scary boss and enemy fight (the boss/enemy give you fear), tense atmosphere, mysterious, etc.

The fact RE7 got me back to RE after RE4 is a testimony of how Capcom finally understood what Resident Evil is... and sales are showing that... more and more people are back to RE due RE7.

I can't say I agree with you on Code Veronica. I really liked it, far more than I thought I would. From the spooky mansion, the creepily insane twins, varied environments, over the top story, etc. It was a wonderful game. The only RE game I've had middling feelings for is Revelations 2. Something about it just didn't work for me and it's not the gameplay since I love Raid mode.
