The shitty thing about this is that Microsoft gets to ride off the goodwill and hype of Insomniacs' Spider-man games, while people like Hoeg law and other Xbox fanboys attack and shit on Spider-man 2...
You say that as if Xbox will still be a thing by the time this game is ready to release.Being exclusive to Xbox will hurt blade more than it will help Xbox imo.

Blade is a dead IP, the only reason they're getting any good will it's because it's theoretically, exclusive. The shitty thing about this is that Microsoft gets to ride off the goodwill and hype of Insomniacs' Spider-man games, while people like Hoeg law and other Xbox fanboys attack and shit on Spider-man 2...
They aren't putting them on subscription services day 1 killing sales & they have a bit of leverage since they own the rights to Spider-man in movies / TVDoubt it. If MS didn’t require it for Spiderman and Wolverine, who are much more famous characters than Blade, then MS won‘t care if this is exclusive.
Did they mention that at the FTC trial ?Pretty scummy that they spent all year calling Sony the devil for having exclusive superhero games knowing that Blade was a thing.
Could that be their rabbit in a hat. FTC "They have yanked in-development games from PS5," MS "Yes, your honor, but those ports did not fit our high quality standards, but we have since decided to allow Arkane Lyon to develop a multi-platform game based on the Marvel IP, Blade."Did they mention that at the FTC trial ?
Windows central just removed their statement about exclusivity in their article and asked MS to clarify. My guess is that it is exclusive, but it's weird that they didn't beat their chest about it like they're known to do.You say that as if Xbox will still be a thing by the time this game is ready to release.

Why announce it if you haven't it secured? Surely Disney have the advantage here as MS need to make the game and need the IP licence. Dumb people in positions of powerJez Corden says MS and Disney are still negotiating over this game.

As of now, it's a dead IP, yes. It can be revived.Blade isn't dead. I think they’re planning to relaunch on the film/tv side. Also, that original movie is a good time and still had plenty of recognition. I think Blade getting a headline piece of software is cool to see even while I expect it to be middling gamepass quality.
Spider-man is sorta the exception to the rule. Sony has made it their property in both film and gaming in many ways and the pedigree is what’s expected from a PlayStation product.
Otherwise marvel is mostly a bust on the gaming side. And licensing comic snd movie IPs for games has mostly produced sub par content outside of Capcom in the 90s and MvC3 and when LucasArts existed proper.
Indiana Jones and Blade from Bethesda sounds as exciting as The Marvels 2. I don’t play games to experience the same lame shit they shove down our throats in film.
Exclusivity is probably a lot less appealing to Marvel/Disney now, with Xbox being clearly on the way out.Why announce it if you haven't it secured? Surely Disney have the advantage here as MS need to make the game and need the IP licence. Dumb people in positions of power
They had Kojima on stage and they could have tacked an Xbox employee with the ability to speak Japanese (not Phil or Sarah obviously) who could translate and talk utter shit about how Xbox are helping Kojima. Hardly fuck all about Xbox on the stage. The current regime is fucking stupid. In order to look impressive at the game awards.
