It's fucking amateur hour at Microsoft... they couldn't even keep it in their pants until after the deal closed to try swinging their dicks around. They for sure need a change in leadership.
You simply can't tease something like that without telling the whole story

They won't ban him. It's why he's there; to talk absolute shit with no fear of getting banned. The xbox fans on there believe Gaf is pro-sony though, so he has good company on that site.

Activisions 70% cut on a roughly 10 million seller, so around $49. MS will be charging licensing fee of $490 million. Even if a high estimate, it's definitely in the hundreds of millions
Straight up on Neogaf, there seems to be a changing of the guard as this deal has been drawn out. Especially with Microsoft now printing adds about "Call of duty would be available to 150 Million more people/Devices" yet in the beginning said that the deal was about "King" and "Mobile Presence". Shows how easily they flip flop, just like the Bethesda deal.
Which the CMA is very keen on pointing out, which EC has not. I think the Reporting by Emran Khan, Jason Schrier on a exclusivity deal Sony was trying to make for starfield proves it's Multiplatform roots in its early stages as far back as 2018. Then to have that slip up by Pete Heines on Gamespot where the game was originally intended on all platforms until MS bought Zenimax/Bethesda.
Too much information backs up that Phil Spencer/Microsoft 100% pulled a fast one on regulators, maybe not on purpose possibly. But as others have mentioned that fuck up to me is whats fucking this deal.
If starfield, Elder Scrolls 6 were not exclusive I think this deal would have been approved. Without many concessions.
My original stance back when I was on Gaf was this deal will get approved with massive concessions or not at all. It looks like MS is not willing to budge on some things because they know if they do concede with some form of perpetuity to Sony, any advantage for putting COD and the likes on Gamepass would not matter since people would stay where they are currently on where they play COD/Blizzard titles.
Anyone thinking this was 100% just a mobile play is a moron.

I don't think they're morons, just disingenuous. Everyone knew from the start this is about CoD, cutting Sony's revenue and buying marketshare.

Without naming names, it was about figuring out a popular persons sanctioned alt, again, I only have certain confidence in saying that, not 100% guarantee so I don't want to falsely name names.

He was banned like 10 times but I thought what finally permed him was a porn gif? It wasn't even because of warring. He could get away with stuff other would get permed right away.
That happens a lot with the biggest xbox warriors. It takes years to finally ban them (like Kagey recently, my god he could get away with everything for a decade).

More often than not, when those warriors are banned, they aren't 'banned', their name just becomes too easily recognised and the lack of action makes the mods look weak. Their name is 'banned' but they come back under a new account and carry on as normal.
Pretty much the same as a chinese restaurant giving everyone food poisoning, shutting down and 'opening under new management', with the exact same staff.
While gaf may be appearing to tip the scales towards an even balance, it is only because Sony is so popular that outright being anti-Sony would cost a small outfit like Gaf their last few members. But make no mistake, GAF is operating because of the marketing accounts paid for by Microsoft.
