Didn't i've said few days ago that there is high possibility that he is an PAID MS astroturfer on ERA?
Maybe should : "Dear Microsoft, you can do COD competitor too and no need to buy Activision, isn't that right, Microsoft? But you have a COD competitor already, a Halo Infinite. How about you to fix that damn thing!!??"

This POS blaming Sony for restructuring Japan Studio and 'not investing in Japanese games'..... yet they turn around when Sony does fund FFXVI or Street Fighter V or help with tens of other games through XDev or partnerships or deals and cry foul.... 'Sony moneyhatted the Japanese games so they wouldn't release on Xbox'...
What does this POS expect? Sony to fund all Japanese games and launch them exclusively on Gamepass? Either these people have absolutely no brain or they are trolling....one thing is clear, they would never give Sony / PlayStation any kudos for ANYTHING.

For this guy, the 'healthier practice' is to allow MSFT use money garnered over 30+ years in 2 large monopolies to buy out publisher after publisher and offer their games for nearly free on a subscription to bleed out the competition to the point that everyone becomes dependent on their subscription and retail / physical media has been killed due to them buying all the biggest retail games..... then they can ramp up the price to the skyyyyyyyy. Healthy, huh?

Era's been on the Sony = evil narrative for years now. Posters like that are nothing new.
its funny how their little echo chamber never reflects on how the market is responding to the consoles on the market. They champion this company because in their eyes it made a consumer friendly device with the best value in gaming when it comes to game pass. Put that on the shelf and the market noped the fuck out of buying it.
In there eyes Sony = Evil and turn their back on the Japanese market but what is the weekly sales numbers showing? The PS5 is dominating sales, when the Series barely cracking a few hundreds sold a week. Wouldn't you think if they turned their back on the market, the target consumer wouldn't be compelled to purchase the console now that its no longer having stock issues? in the Xbox case, its and equal opportunity console....its gets rejected by all countries, races, age and genders every opportunity they get
One thing I've learned over the years is when they personally benefit from it, certain people will deny facts and twist them to prop up their personal preference. Blaming Sony for the westernization of Japanese games, the illusion that MS has made any real effort to capture markets on a world wide scale, and Game Pass worship are about what I'd expect. What I'd like to see is "I like cheap games over all other criteria so I support Game Pass and MS" or "I have stocks" and, most importantly at this time - "I support MS buying publishers because all I care about is how it benefits me".
In short, even if I don't agree, I prefer honesty over the tripe these people normally go on about. Since that level of self-awareness is unusual (particularly at Ree), it's probably best not to pay much attention to disingenuous people like this. They're not worth your time.

Idas leans green for sure. And excellent point on the 10 year discussion. Why would Sony need any amount of time to create a COD competitor like MS is suggesting if MS isn't going to pull COD from the platform at the end of that time period?
Those numbskulls on Reee are so fucking thick - MS is telling them flat out that they will pull the game and they're trying to gaslight everyone else with "bububu my Minecraft" - which, thankfully, the CMA disregarded as a valid comparison.
Can't wait to read it. I'd quote icebreezy if I had the stomach to sift through the refuse in that thread, but dude actually said he doesn't prefer one console to another, he just believes in law and justice and wants the deal to go through on that basis.
Edit: Forgot about the 3rd party monitor that MS is proposing to pay. One of those dolts on Ree said they don't see any conflict of interest with this suggestion. I can see one pretty obvious one, in which the party monitoring MS' behaviour is being funded by MS. The stupidity is honestly staggering.

Took a gander at the resetera thread. Boy, the acquisition cheerleading/begging over there is beyond pathetic. Real bunch of corporate boot lickers. Adam would be proud.
They are serious about MS buying Capcom and Square next so they can add Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter to their portfolio. Total disregard to all the devs working on these IPs and their customers. They want a complete MS domination and that's it.
I was on GAF then Resetera back to PS2 era. It has always been this way, posters relentlessly cheering against PlayStation. Back on PS2 it was bad graphics, cheerleading for games skipping PS2 like RE4. The PS3 trolling was absolutely relentless, to the point there were constant threads about Sony leaving gaming, and every sales thread a constant warzone as they sat in denial about PS3 slowly clawing back to overtake 360
The only brief reprieve from that was WiiU and Xbox One being so bad that they were undefendable for awhile
They go into full histrionics when anyone dissents from the company line of 'acquisition good' (and ultimately ban them). But Ms doesn't have a leg to stand on, legal or otherwise, that would permit this acquisition to take place yet their rabid ratbase is already hungry for more. This brand of lunacy must be what happens when you're starved of games to play for 10 years.
