Never been more proud to be British innit.
Microsoft throwing its obscene amounts of money around in order to take games away from its competitors is a scummy practice, and I'm glad that some of these regulatory bodies recognise that and are doing something about it. Sure, the CMA blocked the deal on the basis of Cloud gaming and competition, but the console state of things was just as relevant, if not more so. It's nice knowing that this deal will fall through soon, and all those Activision franchises that were multiplatform will remain multiplatform, despite Phil Spencer's best efforts.
It also feels really good to see the likes of Brad Smith, Union Buster Lulu and anyone else that cheered on the consolidation of the industry getting ridiculed over the past couple of days. I've seen fanboys on Twitter and ResetEra acting distraught over this news, and it's like... yo, what are you upset about? You lose nothing from this. All those Activision/Blizzard games will still come to Xbox.
We know why they're salty right now. It's for petty fanboy reasons.
