Initially, Ryan believed he and Phil Spencer could come to agreement, despite viewing Microsoft's first offer, their "opening salvo" as inadequate. It wasn't until an August 26th exchange that "alarm bells began ringing" and SIE viewed the acquisition "bad for competition".

This was obvious to anyone who was following the events last year.

Now we've heard it from the horses mouth and it should shutdown folks who keep bringing it up.

Ryan confirming he found Microsoft's Activision commitment to Sony to be unfavourable. The list of games Phil Spencer promised to keep on PlayStation had important omissions. He promised older versions but not their latest incarnations.

That's a big one, and basically what some were speculating prior a long time back. This is probably similar to what they're going to do with Zenimax games too. Next DOOM, Quake, Wolfenstein, TES etc. won't come out on PlayStation platforms.
