So confirmation CMA haven't actually accepted anything. Other then they have a duty to look at a new remedy solution.
they don't have a duty to do anything. If they want to try to kill the merger they take it to the CAT. Pausing the CAT was unnecessary. They said all that needed to be said when they blocked it. Discussions were over. MS was dead to them.

Correct. No deal has been reached despite reeees to the contrary, and this whole thing reeks of pump and dumping to help institutional investors exit the ABK positions that they entered into with the expectation of achieving $95 per share.

CMA has no duty. UK is all they care about. Anything that happens outside of their borders is irrelevant, is what has been said on this thread repeatedly. "comity has no bearing here."

trolling? come on man, nothing i said is "trolling", This guy Luke is a HARD troll lol. Alls i said is that the CMA is looking to settle. Nothing more, nothing less.
No where in the article says CMA is trying to settle.

They do have duty to look at remedies that are being proposed. If they are appropriate then they need to even consider it. We will know by this week.

"CMA has issued a statement after the US court decision: "We stand ready to consider any proposals from Microsoft to restructure the transaction in a way that would address the concerns set out in our Final Report." sounds like settlement talk to me,

they already looked at all the remedies during the final report and blocked it. Remedies talks were done and dusted and the CAT was the only way forward.

This only happens on Twitter. Some dudes being so heavily in denial, they will sell you it as a fact lol. Being in denial doesn’t prove anything.

Sounds like they are just ready to hear whatever microsoft are proposing. Which is their duty as a regulator. Now whether they accept we need to wait and see.

They looked at remedies that ms offered at the time, last I remember ms outright rejected divestiture hence one of the reasons why it was blocked. Now ms have actually come back to the negotiating table with possible divestiture options.

They already done their duty. They looked at everything that needed to be looked at and blocked it. Nothing more needed to be said. Its very likely they settle. No reason to announce all this to say "sike, off to the CAT with you!" Just say nothing and proceed with the CAT.

No they never left the table. That was the CMA. a big divestiture isnt happening. Thats a hard no. It will be minor and related to the UK only. Because they said they wanted to address their concerns in their part of the world.

Remember the deal was blocked in the UK because of the "cloud" so it will be very likely related to that. What that is, is yet to be known

They looked at everything that was offered by MS at the time so yes they did their duty, but divestiture was not one of the offers from MS. Now MS are coming back with divestiture option.

Now it's debatable what the CMA actually accept from what MS have offered, none of use really know and need to wait and see.

Sure it was blocked for cloud.

But CMA still maintained the divestiture option was either 1. COD IP and studios 2. Activation 3. Acitivision + Blizzard

They never really asked for cloud specific divestiture..

Just put him on ignore. @FatKaz recommend you do the same. He's just here to stir up shit and will be gone as soon as the CMA rejects whatever paltry remedy MS is proposing now.

that isnt true. CMA was just waiting on the US to make their move. They ruled against the pi. So the CMA wanted to talk again. MS didn't just make up a magic remedy out of nowhere. They probably already discussed it months ago but the CMA said no. CMA changed their mind. Not MS.

Cloud is "the" reason it was blocked. So its something related to that.

Nope. Just stating the facts. If you can't handle that, that's your problem. Everything i stated is reasonable and not outlandish. Im not you luke. I don't do fanfiction.
