As if there's any point arguing with someone who gets their marching orders from Phil Spencer, but here goes:
There is nothing good about an independent multiplatform PUBLISHER being absorbed into the umbrella of not just any platform holder, but the worst platform holder in history. The only thing Xbox has proven is that they will try to kill the competition through underhanded tactics funded by profits earned outside of gaming while simultaneously running their internal studios into the ground.
They're trying to tank the industry by forcing people onto the GP model, which is proven to devalue gaming and has earned every member of Microsoft's exec team a spot in front of the firing squad as far as I'm concerned.
No one gains anything from this acquisition that they couldn't have gotten otherwise, but gamers lose on every franchise except for COD. And as for COD, MS could've paid to get COD on GP, Bobby would have ported COD to the next Switch (it'll be unplayable or a cloud version if they try to port now), and those cloud gaming BYOG providers got the second worst deal in history, after this one, because they get no benefits and will be ground into dust by xcloud.
