Looks like Kotick himself isn't too thrilled about the deal.
I can't imagine anyone openly admitting this unless they knew shit was near the fan.
He probably thought this would've been alot easier then how this turned out.
This also makes me question their whole we will foreclose against the CMA statements they've made.
Especially when the CMA can fine a company 10% of their entire revenue stream.
Which in Microsoft's case is possibly over 10 billion per annum.
Which to them is chump change they can easily recoup that cost. I mean look at all the money they spent for their lawyers and lobbying they've done.

Jim Ryan's email is impeccable and a class act.
If anything if he was agressive it would have worked against him, phil woud have used that against them and showed the regulators.
There are defintley areas he is being way to passive like acquistions, but this email he did the right thing to stay professional and polite.
If the acquisition floodgates do end up being fully opened, I hope Sony are prepared to do what it takes to ensure that those of us who game on PlayStation aren't left out in the cold.
They've been cracking down on streams a lot lately.
