The latest UK charts are in and it's a strong one for strategy games and zombies. At the top of the pile this week, we have the interminably delayed Dead Island 2, which was finally released last week after its initial announcement back in 2014.

Next, Minecraft Legends comes in at number two, and its sales on the Switch were particularly impressive, making up 76% of the platform split. PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 made up 12% and 7% respectively, while Xbox managed the remaining 5%. Of course, it's always worth mentioning that the game is available on day one on Game Pass.

Meanwhile, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp took the bronze this week and came in third place. The game, developed by WayForward, finally launched on April 21st, 2023 after its significant delay from 2022 in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Elsewhere, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey have both managed to stay in the top ten in the wake of the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Why number 7 erased. Is that hogwarts?

Most likely

What idiot cut that before posting the chart here?

Because it is on the original chart, this is shockingly stupid to not recognize this game and how much people enjoy it.

@Unchained wake up idiot, put Hogwarts Legacy back in the list and stop the harassment campaign against J.K. Rowling.

Sorry guys, copied the list from ResetEra, hence Hogwart's name was missing. Forgot to double check :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The real story: Advance Wars remake in the 3 slot, way higher than I thought.

Called it back in February when 2 shills here were saying Minecraft was going to be big for Xbox. I said it was going to sell on Switch and I was right.

The game flopped even on Steam (less players than Hi-fi Rush). There's about 1,000 people playing worldwide on Steam and the game just came out. Mega flop.

Minecraft Legends will sell a lot...on Switch. Nobody is buying an Xbox for that.

Minecraft Legends selling most on Switch isn't a surprise at all especially when you factor in the mobile/handheld aspect of the hybrid console. As for Xbox, I will never understand why so many people act shocked or surprised when game sales are low due to Game Pass. Game Pass IS Microsoft's business model. First party software sales on Xbox consoles is literally just a bonus for them as a company.
