Maybe it's because the marketshare only counts where Activision Blizzard games are bought (or where their userbase would buy them).

Which would surely include Nintendo after the deal, or Nvidia Now....

Why should it be specific to Activision? It's not an accurate state of gaming as things stand.

I understand some guys wanting to put Nintendo as a competition to Xbox but in fact it is not.

Switch was never a device to compete with Sony or MS offer… it is a complementary device for both.

That is how the market is.

Nobody will stop to buy a PS5/Xbox due Switch… or buy a Switch due PS5/Xbox…. no who buy a PS5 probably don’t buy a Xbox or vice versa because it is the same market.

Man, the death of XBox could be even more sudden than the death of the Dreamcast was.

Feels good, man.
I do not want Xbox to die as a gaming division, I want them to reform and be better.

It would be amazing if they would up their game in quality to some how be on par with PlayStation, yes they are miles away from being as good as Sony but its something as gamers we should all want.

We all play games in the end.

It’s Microsoft. Expecting them to reform is like expecting a fish to navigate interstellar space.

It is not in their nature and it cannot be taught to them.

The industry would instantly be healthier with Microsoft out of it. Even as a publisher, they’re a negative, but that’s better than them being a platform holder.

jesus, series s/x got massacred last year. absolutely the worst showing MS had in years.

No games for the whole year absolutely KILLED any hope.
And that was in a year of severe supply constraints for their competitor.

Now Sony have the channels stocked with product, VR2 and a whole host of games coming.

It's a good thing they don't worry about console sales

Because it's what it is being bought, so they analyze where it does basically affect.

The acquisition wouldn't basically affect PC, Switch or mobile. The biggest change where the acquisition would cause be between Sony and MS in consoles if CoD goes exclusive, and maybe in game subs/could gaming too.

Xbots are trying to say that the numbers are somehow not accurate and that Sony is lying, even though MS themselves presented this to the EU.

ROFLMAO
If anything wouldn't these number be more usefull to MS? What's the rational saying they aren't accurate?

Activision is the biggest 3rd party in the world. If they didn't decide to put CoD there before is because they know these markets are irrelevant for them and that move is a PR stunt to try to appeal the regulators, with no big impact in the market.

It's a good thing they don't worry about console sales
The 80% vs 20% isn't about consoles sold, it's market share (percent of revenue for a specific market). So pretty likely includes not only hardware revenue, but also software and subs revenue.

Man it must be sad to feel like a loser, we can ask adamnipple about that, imagine being a mediocre shill for a multicorp who is being spanked so hard trying to sell a system that nobody wants
