Even the smallest of indies nobody heard of have better CCU 😬

Sony decided to publish on PC where they have no control of the public info so they deserve all these headlines. They will make zero profit from the PC version anyway, it would have been so easy to cancel.

A PS game being held hostage by PC numbers is really annoying to see lol. But, they do deserve this, unfortunately it comes at the cost of a good game being the sacrificial lamb.

The game will do better on PS5, but it's kinda poetic justice that PS5 will be the platform that might somewhat keep the game afloat... yet Sony is so insistent on giving PS5 owners the middle finger so they can rollout the red carpet for PC players who are actively trying to kill off the brand lol.

Game is out of the top 50 (currently #62) in best selling in the US on the PS5 store. It seems like a really huge flop, and this could have been prevented. But the studio seems like it didn't want to take feedback from the beta.

Common sense would have saved Sony so much money that they could have used on stuff like native PS3 emulation instead of this shit

Typical woke echo chamber. All niceties, not criticising

This is the reason I am vehemently so down on concord, now 1st party Sony AAA games will get compared to redfall, crackdown 3 etc. After a decade of a majority of games being commercial or critical successes we land up with a turd which is neither. Even order 1886 sold 4 million copies
The difference is Concord was never hyped. It was officially announced 2 months ago and nobody thought it was gonna be a success. Non-stop hate from the get go. It's also a new dev with no history.

After Astrobot comes out nobody will remember Concord.

A pallet cleanser of industrial strength is critical.

It's sad tbh, the game itself seems okay. technically nothing wrong with it (killed by the fact that the marketing behind it was atrocious), but Sony needs to understand that in this landscape you can't be coasting and resting on your laurels and expecting people to come to you without putting any effort into it. Which is what the CFO of Sony (hiroki totoki) seems to be wanting to do. He said a while back that things were changing and the implication was that they weren't going to treat their first party games as loss leaders to incentivize people to get into their ecosystem any more, but rather as profit centers.

And that is 100% the wrong approach.

He and the other CEO are the reason this generation has been such a mess. I'm fully behind my theory they tightened the purse string after 2020 and handicapped Jim and the PlayStation department which is why we saw so many departments got gutted.

This guy isn't a gamer. He's more concerned with putting every resource into a smart Car with Honda than the department that's funding his passion project
