What ever those two guys have been smoking has caused some serious brain damage.

Well we were trying to come up with a name and we had various ideas but some domain names are very expensive due to having "gaming" and related words in the name.
So the word "era" is already related to many gaming sites, so we went with that...
Icon, comes from the fact that PlayStation memorabilia refers to the symbols as "icons" on the packaging.
So basically a PlayStation focused gaming forum.
Although another key difference is that our forum tries to avoid politics.
A long story short, @Bryank75 used to be one of the mods on Ree,
He used to be in charge of the Harry Potter thread; if I recall correctly, he was out of control, banning people left, right and centre.
Someone mentioned they liked Harry Potter and was given a year ban,
Someone else said that they loved the books as a child, Lifetime ban.
The founders of that place, Long time JkR fans, had enough of his bullshit and kicked him
And with it, he started this place,
