Quote where ANYTHING is being wished or hoped for. I'm not asking for anything, I'm telling you a basic certain reality which the President of PlayStation has talked about to length and supports, the head of PlayStation Studios has talked about at length and supports. As is your stating of hypothesis as facts.
I don't care if Sony announces a port tomorrow to be released in 1 year, but as long as no announcement exists, you are wishing for it to happen, aka port-begging.
A long-winded way of saying that your Steam collection needs Sony gamesBegging in general is the proposition of a question, it's an ask. If I'm asking for a game to release with no just reason to believe it's going to happen I am port begging.
On the contrary if I make a statement that is empirically driven such as "I'll wait for God of War to hit PC" I am asking for nothing. I'm presenting an intention based upon what the company is actively doing in the space and the series or title in question. This is not port begging.
One is based on disillusioned hope, the other is based upon empirical data inference.

This perpetual denial of what Sony is actively doing is getting absurdly annoying. What's moreso annoying is the linguistic gymnastics from a fanatical sect of the PlayStation community who has lost grasp of reality to self soothe.
We're in your sandbox now playing with your toys. We have some, and we'll get more, a lot more. You need to learn to accept this reality, accept what your overlords are telling you not only directly but in financial statements and projections as well.
These games are coming, you have no control over it, and we don't even have to ask for them. You have a choice right now, acceptance or denial.
Choose wisely, one makes life a hell of a lot easier for you.
When you hear a fanatic use the term "fanatical", and refer to others' "grasp of reality", you know it ain't gonna be a quick winAnd here you are the one whining because of one simple fact I stated:
An hypothesis which has yet to be confirmed, cannot be treated like a fact.
It's not a hypothesis, the evidence isn't limited and more than that there's empirical data to call on.And here you are the one whining because of one simple fact I stated:

Yes, that is port begging because Sony wasn't going to convert anything to the PC at that time... but saying you can't wait for something to release to PC and it's a known that it will release isn't port-begging.port begging is perfectly normal behaviour , i saw this back when metal gear solid released on ps1 and my friend with a PC was begging for a port
It's not a hypothesis, the evidence isn't limited and more than that there's empirical data to call on.
You guys have lost the plot. They're porting their games left and right, have confirmed more are coming, have purchased PC porting studios, they're uprooting their internal studios to account for PC in their development pipelines, their shareholder projections and slides keep growing in the PC sector, you've got the President and Head of their studios openly talking about it, you've got Steam database leaks popping up....
You have no grip on reality.
Would you also agree a statement is not a question?Did I somewhere in my comments deny the possibility for the port to come?
But there is the possibility that it might not, as there is NO CONFIRMATION for it, nor has Sony ever stated they will port all of their games from now on to PC.
And because BOTH possibilities are open, I would be crazy and stupid to keep talking about one of them as a given fact.
OH MY SWEET SUMMER CHILDYes, that is port begging because Sony wasn't going to convert anything to the PC at that time... but saying you can't wait for something to release to PC and it's a known that it will release isn't port-begging.

It's because it is an offensive term and that's why we ban people who continue to use it.agreed , dont know why some people go into psychiatric depths when the term offends them
Fucking hell it's getting like ResetEra on here!!It's because it is an offensive term and that's why we ban people who continue to use it.
You know how GAF mods hate for anyone to criticize them for doing a bad job and they ban people for speaking it out? Well, we are sensitive to continuous arguments being brought up over people saying PC gamers are port-begging knowing full well that the game is officially going to be released on the PC even if it hasn't been announced yet. The term is used to demean the PC gamer - which is considered a personal attack. And likewise we, as mods, need to be less niave when someone tries to troll the PS gamers by always saying "can't wait for this on PC" in a sly way of saying they'll get a better experience on a more powerful PC. Some can be honestly excited for the game while others may be using it to demean Sony gamers. So we try to be careful in judging people's motives.
good thing that im not a modIt's because it is an offensive term and that's why we ban people who continue to use it.
