I don't care if Sony announces a port tomorrow to be released in 1 year, but as long as no announcement exists, you are wishing for it to happen, aka port-begging.

Begging in general is the proposition of a question, it's an ask. If I'm asking for a game to release with no just reason to believe it's going to happen I am port begging.

On the contrary if I make a statement that is empirically driven such as "I'll wait for God of War to hit PC" I am asking for nothing. I'm presenting an intention based upon what the company is actively doing in the space and the series or title in question. This is not port begging.

One is based on disillusioned hope, the other is based upon empirical data inference.

A long-winded way of saying that your Steam collection needs Sony games

I hope Playstation-owners have more dignity and don't start begging for a Starfield port after its release.

It's not a hypothesis, the evidence isn't limited and more than that there's empirical data to call on.

You guys have lost the plot. They're porting their games left and right, have confirmed more are coming, have purchased PC porting studios, they're uprooting their internal studios to account for PC in their development pipelines, their shareholder projections and slides keep growing in the PC sector, you've got the President and Head of their studios openly talking about it, you've got Steam database leaks popping up....

Yes, that is port begging because Sony wasn't going to convert anything to the PC at that time... but saying you can't wait for something to release to PC and it's a known that it will release isn't port-begging.

But there is the possibility that it might not, as there is NO CONFIRMATION for it, nor has Sony ever stated they will port all of their games from now on to PC.

And because BOTH possibilities are open, I would be crazy and stupid to keep talking about one of them as a given fact.

PlayStation Studio games are usually pretty solid on console launch (with some rare occasion).

Thank you for acknowledging there are two sides to this issue. That aside, is this a thread for talking about games we'd like ported to our preferred system? If so, I'd give anything to have Shin Megami Tensei V on PS. I'm a huge fan of the series, but don't have the luxury of buying a Switch just to play it. There's been some talk here and there about it, , but nothing newsworthy as of yet.

The real beggars are the fanboys literally begging Sony to stop porting their games
