I'm hoping that the death of Xbox will give PS5 more momentum and that Sony has already changed course when it comes to their internal development but we are still just witnessing the results of bad decisions taken a long time ago. The next big chance PS5 will have to close the gap with PS4 is probably going to be GTAVI.

Same Info from other take two thread 2:1 Sony.
Considerably more than 2:1 if the number is correct, massive difference before we hit 4 years. Xbox One also lost tons of momentum as the generation went on and stooped to crawl, this time it looks like it's going to be even worse.

Predictions and projections are just that :) it has alot to do with your doom and gloom narrative, actually everything to do with it..
Just ban this dude for a week for always arguing in bad faith. Just wish him to miss Xbox going third party thread discussion lol

@Welfare I think you own multiple people here an apology, namely @ethomaz , @Heisenberg007 , and @thicc_girls_are_teh_best

Common, don't be shy.
lol The Take Two number isn't shipments and Xbox isn't only at 22.2M

Microsoft already stated they were at +21M back in June and I had it told to me that the +21M slide was actually shown prior at GDC 2023 as well, so it's impossible for XBS to only be at 22M, sell through or shipments.

Everything with this guy triggers me

His entire persona (like all Xbots) is port begging PlayStation games in one form or another. They can’t stand that MS first party output is abysmal to non existent so they want what PlayStation has just with an Xbox logo.

Ohhhh Noooooo the ship is sinking! Smh. The crazy thing is PS4 sales and how they catapulted was actually not the norm and Sony did not expect that. PS5 is more than fine and will continue to give Sony great revenue and profit.

PS5 shipment last quarter was bad.
Lies. Not sure about the PS2 peak, but looking at his graph last quarter seems it has been their 3rd best ever quarter regarding shipments, with a difference of only 1.5M vs the top 1.

Sony said the same.
Lies. Maybe in your dreams, they didn't say so in their reports or conference call. They said that didn't reach their target with PS5 sales, but still sold a great amount and posted many record numbers.

They posted over $30B in revenue during 2023 and having profits. You can't be serious when saying these are bad results.

Yes, they didn't reach that target but still are doing a great job setting new records in many areas, and growing at a great pace in these or other areas. In recent years they planted a ton of seeds that in the coming years are going to show their results.

If you ignore all others 4th Q3 shipments sure lol

You probably lives in an alternative reality lol
Sony not only said the shipment was not what they expected... they are even taking actions to try to increase them.

How not norm? PS1 sold over 100M, PS2 over 150M, even PS3 made 90M, but somehow PS 4 had to be a flop? 😂

PS3 was the only not norm here.
Thanks Sony learned a lot with that generation.
Even with the comeback in 2009/2010 Sony still lose a lot of money in that generation and I consider PS3 the biggest PlayStation console failure.
