After reading a lot of posts, I've come to the conclusion that some people's headsets were being affected by some sort of visual bug where it wasn't rendering correctly or the foveated rendering wasn't operating correctly. I guess I must have one of the affected headsets, because I am 100% positive that the image is clearer than before the update. It would also make sense this is why some people thought he headset visuals were unimpressive/a letdown vs others who said theirs was always crystal clear. IMO this is the most sensible idea - we already know there's unevenness w.r.t. the controllers so I think this is a fairly reasonable explanation. Remember in my initial impressions post? I said there was like a 60 degree cone where the visuals were clear. It's definitely widened noticeably, I'd say it's around 80-90 degrees now. That might be where my impressions of improved image sharpness come from.

Edit: Dammit, cable a bit short. Going to have to get an extension to sit on couch.

Not my jam unfortunately. More power to people who enjoy it but it looks...pretty bad to me.
BOTW was ppls gotg but it was shit to me. So yeah lol to each their own. Not my type either but I can see the appeal for some.
