Well, they are making Days Gone into a blockbuster movie.Very much doubt it, especially about DG 2.
But if both of these things do eventually happen, they would not surprise me.
Yeah this is why I said it wouldn't surprise me if Days Gone 2 makes an appearance. CDPR wouldn't surprise me either; it just makes sense.Well, they are making Days Gone into a blockbuster movie.
So far, for all their PS Productions films/shows they've had some sort of synergy between their entertainment divisions:
For the Horizon Netflix show, they'll could have either a remaster of Zero Dawn, the multiplayer game or Horizon III, all depending on when the show drops. For the Ghost of Tsushima movie, they'll have a Ghost of Tsushima sequel. For the God of War show and Gravity Rush movie? Most likely some form of re-releases.
- Uncharted (2022) - Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
- The Last Of Us Season 1 (2023) - The Last Of Us Part I
- Gran Turismo (2023) - Gran Turismo 7
- Twisted Metal (2023) - Unannounced Twisted Metal live-service
So I don't think its crazy to think that Sony might not be done with Days Gone yet, especially given its solid sales performance on PC and how it has become a beloved property among PlayStation fans.
If a sequel were to happen, I don't think it would be at Bend though. They've already tried it, didn't work out with their current work culture, and have since then moved on to a new IP. The best would be to give it to another developer. Who? I have no clue myself.
GOG Would be owned by CD Projekt. CD Projekt RED (CDPR mentioned here) is just the development team within that company.but another thing is...would Sony really want to own GOG? idk seems like too much in my opinion
would that be in Sony's interest
Those 2 have already bought more studios than any other SIE executives before in the history of PlayStation.Nah, jimbo nad Herman re too dumb for that.
They ll rather spend billions on marketing deals or buy some music for billion (sony that is).
Too conservative and cheap.
They're on the path to also killing the most studiosThose 2 have already bought more studios than any other SIE executives before in the history of PlayStation.
Why isn't everyone talking about this lol?In her D2 Leaks discord server, where Liz frequently posts leaks on Destiny, she has posted another leak where she claims that PlayStation plans on buying CDPR and Days Gone 2 has entered development.
What rating would day gone received today? Post patches, bugs ironed out, 60 frames per second. PS5. It’s a very refined game in it’s state today.
Let me just clarify something about DG2. Sony wasn't the one to kill the project. Bend's upper management did.
Say what? Sony could put their games on GOG and get more of the sales profits than giving a % to Steam or Epic Game Store, right?but another thing is...would Sony really want to own GOG? idk seems like too much in my opinion
would that be in Sony's interest
Cdpr own a game store on pc too I believe? Could become a Sony storeI'd still onlygive it high 70's even though I enjoyed it... the pacing was off and I had a few false starts with it.
I can see the value of buying CDPR but I can also see several issues, they could be solved but it all depends on Sony's motivation.
It is about Bungie size, so that part fits the MO and you could say they have specialist knowledge.

Yeah, just like Sony's PC games, it's a perfect marriage.GOG.com delivers DRM-free video games
