Because Playstation has so many gaas games.. what flop GT7 was.
Just like everyone else, Sony is gonna try and make money from it. Just like Rockstar, EA, Blizzard, Epic have made billions from it.
Lets ignore making potential billions because some fans are scared over a word. Some would consider Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2 “Gaas” or “Gaas Lite”. But FUD is only for Playstation as usual

The only win is Helldivers 2 and only partially because after what happened earlier this year Sony will NEVER be able to ask for a PSN login again and add those players to the MAU.
The big Bungie acquisition looks like it was 3 billion down the drain.

And last but not least Fairgame$! Concord is such a joke right now that it's hard to believe but Haven somehow is cooking something that was initially received even worse.

The reality is that they’re probably emboldened to make more GaaS after Helldivers 2 sold thru 13 million.
what’s kinda they make is what will be the question moving forward… probably not so high risk as a budget bloated cinematic game like tlou etc and more smaller arcade experiences like helldivers and concord.
It’s just that concord is being rejected right now. There will be plenty of failures… the one helldivers kinda makes up for it tho.

I aint crying, Im not worried about it. Just saying they aint gonna stop. Despite what some PS fans and PS haters think.
HD2 sold 10+ million. Concord can fail as hard all it wants, the haters can have their “victory”. There just gonna make more, and change there approach.
Games get cancelled all the time. All studios including Sony has cancelled plenty of SP games….. Lets stop making games lol.
Like I said, there not gonna stop making potential profitable games because some fail or get cancelled. This is what the gaming business is, and Sony despite some fails, does it better than most.
If Epic, Valve, MS and EA can have success with it, I know it terrifies the haters, but Sony can too eventually

I dont know why people are worried about this.
Sony isnt EA, who openly say how they feel about Single player games and there direction.
Also they are a platform like Nintendo and MS, they need to make multiple games and genres.
Sony has said there gonna keep doing there bread and butter which is high quality single player games.

We know Death Stranding 2 is coming, we know GOT2 is coming, We know ND and Santa Monica are making big Single player games. There not gonna stop these games.
They have always made MP games along with bigger games. Nothings gonna change. People need to not fall for the FUD because thats all it

Nintendo biggest selling game of all time is Animal Crossing, which some consider gaas lite. They didnt start making all there games like Animal Crossing. Again Sony said big budget single player games is their foundation. Has been since 2009

Oh ffs dude stop and first learn how the pre-order top sellers list and overall top sellers list works, For US PSN concord is 37th on the pre-orders list that has a total of some 100 games. On the overall sales list concord ranks in the 300-400. Valorant you people made so much fun of is 10th on the overall top sellers list.
There is nothing great about being 37th on the pre-orders list 6 days before launch and its behind "heavyweights" such as farming simulator 25, casting of frank stone.
The funniest thing is that a similar looking game is getting a free pass because they played that game, but refuse to play this and waste all their time on dissing this game. The trolls are so obvious.

Deadlock is 100x better in every way. The game isn’t even out yet or even announced and is at 27k ccu with 34k peak. Trash ass Concord open beta couldn’t even reach 3k ccu
getting 15x more ccu on an unannounced game is beyond pathetic.
There is no issue with liking one game over another. It's fucking pathetic when people claim they can't see the vast overlap on visuals. Concord plays better but they are both in early stages so to complain about either game and praise the other is trolling. I think Sony will be more aggressive in marketing and controlling the narrative. There are parallels with how TLOU2 was before launch where trolls spread misinformation and tried to damage the release. The game plays well and those who gave the game a shot mostly spoke well
Theres always a FUD spread before a PS launch of some kind. Some way worse than others
I meant TLOU online vs a tlou3. Producing narrative content like Destiny in a live service is expensive. This was the concern with the cancellation.
If they deliver at naughty dog standard they may not be able to deliver that quality of content with the seasonal cadence demanded by players. Voice work and cinematics every 3 months? Suicide Squad wanted to provide that too. Varies by game type
Even though I want TLOU online over TLOU3, I get what you mean.
I still think it can be done someone, maybe not every 3 months, or they have to do alot before hand. A years worth of content before they release. But maybe the future can present that. But yeah, atm it seems out of reach or they believe it to be.
I still dont think TLOU online would effect a TLOU3 though. Or Gaas success effecting a sequel. Im sure Neil and Sony would still do a part 3 no matter how successful there Gaas/MP version of TLOU would of been. Same as Horizon, GOT2 etc
Only really Destiny does this. And even then they will be pulling back seasonally and changing their service model altogether moving forward (aside from the reckless spending). For whatever reason this kind of content is even more expensive now than ever.
Nah it’s really terrible days before release. It should be in top 3 and at least top 10. Especially for a console exclusive internally published and marketed game.
Launch hype is zero. Day one buzz needs to be 11 out of 10 or it’s dead on arrival and shutdown after 3 months if that.
