They cannot monetize PvP maps at risk of segmenting player population. Probably also the reason they don’t have many planned for the short term. It’ll be “free” content.

Don stopped charging for maps after The Last of Us Multiplayer. I don't think this was ever on the table for any of their multiplayer games.

The prolonged lack of promotional material when the game was announced allowing trolls to create the narrative must be a lesson to learn from. The more they are showing, the better the game looks. I hope Sony learns and plans on how to counter the trolls in the future.

Not really. The narrative would be controlled better. Like TLOU2, the silence from Sony when the narrative was created by trolls did damage. Some people stupidly still think Abby is trans. Here fucking idiots and trolls didn't give it a chance the moment we saw the title for the first time. Attacking stupid troll narratives with gameplay would have shut most of the shit up.
