It's so fascinating to see how people on this forum knows about Sonys economics more than Sony themselves.
I mean, we all know it's just driven by that people here simply don't like that Playstation games can now be played on PC, that's all.

We keep going round and round on this, but people have openly admitted that even if the strategy works it's still a mistake. People who have said that even if Bungie makes Sony billions of dollars, it was still a mistake.
Funny that it somehow doesnt apply to Nintendo not puting their games on PC.

Everyone was saying how day n date would absolutely kill Xbox console. Xbox series selling half of Xbox one & Xbox one was classified as a disaster. So what is Xbox series called selling half of what a disaster did while spending nearly 100 billion.
Everyone saying how Gamepass financially don’t make sense & would killed the Xbox ecosystem training Xbox consumer to not buy premium game.
These are billion & trillion dollars companies that pay people millions to crunch data & they still get things wrong. At the end these companies are run by humans who make mistakes & are dumb.
The same negative effect that occur with Xbox will have the same effect with PS, PS isn’t any different then Xbox nor does PS has a complete monopoly where there no other competitor. Steam exist Nintendo exist Apple & Android exist Meta exist these are all hardware platform that are closed wall gardens that play games & have storefronts. PS goes day n date they’ll become exactly what Xbox is & one or more of those competitor will step in & replace PS by offering exclusive games in a wall garden.
The excuse that PS needs to do day n date or even porting these games year & loosing & diminish your platform & storefront wall garden because bloating budgets is funny because instead of going day n date & killing there platform & storefront decreased budget produce more games that are AA out of these franchise. You can have a AAA GOW game because it sells 20 million but also have a 2nd team working on AA GOW that take 3 years & is price $50 & you will have more cadence of profit instead of relying on $70 AAA that take 5-7 years & having long dry spells

Exactly. We also saw how important 3rd party sales are for revenue and profit in the latest report, yet Sony is doing their best to give people less reasons to invest in their ecosystem.
PS & PS fans have become so down bad that now a PS game that once was released can only comeback w a new release without it having being tied to PC as if the only reason the game will comeback or get a sequel is because it releasing on PC

Of course. The engines and development pipelines need to be adapted for multiplatform development, and what better occasion than a remake to do it?
Great news, buying it on PC if there is no patch, at least that way I can play it on the go if the new PSP rumors aren't true.
Bloodborne Remaster is a lot more preferable than a Bloodborne Remake that Sony likely has in mind, I hope this rumor is true.
Demons souls remake has amazing graphics but botched some monster designs, absolutely destroyed the OST and added some questionable sound effects like characters screaming when they cast a spell.
So they might make the same mistake with a Bloodborne remake. Besides, with diminishing returns being a thing, who knows if there's a big enough leap in power between PS4 and PS6, to properly remake the game.

I can see Sony doing a Bloodborne remaster charging $70 essentially for a 60+ fps patch + making the game more HD & then doing a full remake for PS6 that makes it look like Demon Souls remake & pricing BB remake for $70 double dippin 2 in 1 game is pretty crazy but I bet many people would pay even I would buy well I might just wait for it on PC & buy it 1 time on PC & letting the mods remake the game w mod so I don’t get double dip by Sony (again this is why Sony porting games to PC diminishes how much profit they can extract of PS consumer, Sony isn’t made maximizing there profits by porting games on PC)
No matter how you put it porting games no longer allows you to fully maximize profit, game sells & console/hardware. GOT2 looks cool but wait 1-2 years & you’ll get it on PC for cheaper price, better performance + mods which stops what Sony is trying do by remastering & remake in the long term.
Nintendo remastering & remaking WiiU games for the Switch & selling it for $70 full price & Nintendo will do the same with Switch 2 remastering & remaking WiiU & Switch games for Switch 2 & selling it for $70

Yep, everything PS related now has PC attached to it. And some "fans" act as if it that's a good thing. Obnoxious PC gamers have the loudest voice when it comes to PS discussions. It's a complete joke what PS has become.
