Notice how he deliberately leaves off what the 5m is in reference to GOW or the other games. He just lists the number, not what it's measuring, then with Starfield states it's players. Would lead some to easily believe he's referencing the same metric, since it's a logical conclusion that is what he means, though it isn't. Only if you knew what the numbers were would you realise the lie. So it's another great piece of journalistic integrity to mislead readers through lying by omission.

PS - something is very very wrong if destiny on windows is outperforming when that player base is like 5% of Destiny’s steam user base. Especially since destiny isn’t really putting up its strongest numbers this summer either.

The only stat for gamepass that is actually important is: How many NEW subscribers have joined since the game has released compared to the previous months and how many have stayed a month or 2 after.
Everything else is pure twisted poppy shit. If they don’t show those numbers or the sales numbers, it hasnt done well. It doesnt matter how many players are playing it, how many coversations or bullets have been shot. How many steam active players there are, or how many videos are viewed. None of it matters apart from sales and new subcribers
