We get it you’re a Starfield/Bethesda fanboy.
She is built different.
So, yesterday someone on Reddit suggested a mod that removes all shadows and gtao to see if that stops crashing, and so far, the game has indeed stopped crashing, I want to say it's far uglier but it's not that different, models still have their own shadows and highlights, they just don't cast a shadow on the worldspace.
With that said, I'm moving to blame BGS as incompetent programmers, how the fuck you make shadows crash the game?

If you really like Starfield, that's absolutely acceptable. I have not played it...so I'm just commenting from a far removed position....
My brother always liked Star Citizen and he has an excellent rig, I guess he is pretty invested. I was impressed by the ship models and detail in that game when he showed me.
Hope you continue to enjoy Starfield!
Isn't this the point you get a refund? I mean relying on mods to to fix things whilst paying the high price for early access price sounds crazy to me.
The actual state for Star Citizen (even if for me it is a Scam project to keep getting money from players) is better than what Starfield is.
You can say what Bethesda said Starfield was but could not delivery... Star Citizen does.

Anyway, I'll eventually get to play Starfield, hopefully starting sometime this week, but based off other people's gaming sessions, I'm not expecting anything amazing.
To be fair, I don't think it is anywhere near that colossal screw-up that Fallout 76 was,
I agree that Starfield has been overhyped for sure and has a lot of problems but I don't think they are in the same comparative ballpark.

Starfield is not... it is a good game.
It just not lived to the overhype of Xbox marketing machine.
Expectations are a big issue with Xbox releases (maybe the fan base is at fault too).
Honestly? Yes, but I'm still willing to give it a try and wait for a day 6 patch.
The fanbase is at fault, yes, but MS tends to present its games as the second coming all the time, when games are, in the end, just games.

My own brother was also playing Starfield on Steam and decided to get a refund after 5 hours of play, he was granted the refund (he barely ever asks for refunds), I was surprised to hear this as he usually looks to find the silver lining in every game he plays. He said Star Citizen is just a much better use of his time and much higher quality.
If he thinks Scam Citizen is a good use of time and money, you should really look into taking power of attorney over his finances and possibly having him committed.
Nah, this isn't nearly as bad as FO76 (yet). We'll see if they put in a cash shop after launch though.
