Starfield was delayed partly because Xbox has "experienced shipping games too early"

This is a clear case of learning from his many many many mistakes.

Also, I thought that these people were about making games available to all gamers. Where is the PS4\5 version? They cancelled it.

Making games available to all gamers WITHIN the Xbox eco-system. Just like I was telling people last generation on the Xbox side that if you want to play Spider-Man, GOW, TLOUP2, Tsushima, HZD and many others, just buy the box (PS4). I say the same here. If you're that interested in the games, just buy the box (Series X or Series S).

If not, then I will say the same thing I have forever said, these games can't be all that important to you if you don't want to buy/own the other console. If Bethesda/ABK games are so important, buy an Xbox Series X/S. I say the same exact thing to those on XboxEra. If you care so much about Final Fantasy or whatever the case may be, buy a PlayStation 5. If not, then these games aren't all that important to begin with because when games are exclusive to the other platform, I buy that platform's console and that way, nothing is no longer inaccessible to me.

How many of these god of war, spider. Man, tsushima, HZD were released on xbox? How many of these studios released on xbox? You speaking nonsense, bethesda was multiplatform, Starfield was on PS5.
M$ said to FTC that Starfield will be on PS. Plus bullshit that games will be available to wider public 😂 I have no problem with exclusives but m$ made some wild lies.

"This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that," Spencer said. "Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: 'How do we keep other players from playing these games?' We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games."

Bethesda games will be available on PC, Xbox, and basically any other device via xCloud. It is available to more people. Just not PlayStation 👍

Key words - WAS multi-platform meaning PlayStation and Xbox.

They're not anymore. They're owned by Microsoft. If you want so desperately to play them, you know what you have to do. Also, Housemarque, Insomniac, Guerrilla, Sucker Punch, etc. were ALL multi-platform prior to being acquired by Sony. Look it up. If a hardware manufacturer acquires a company, that's it, it's THEIRS. Not the competitions. Also, just because the games years ago were multi-platform doesn't mean that PlayStation owners are entitled to them because you're not. Not only that but Sony never owned any of them. People acting like Microsoft went into Sony's vault and stole the shit. lol

Bottom line is that you PlayStation guys are salty. You all believe that you're somehow someway entitled to another company's games when in reality, you're not. Whatever was before acquisitions doesn't mean anything unless of course, you simply don't want to buy the other console which in that case, the games obviously aren't all that important to you to begin with because if they were, you would buy and own the other console in order to play them. I don't restrict or limit myself. I own both PS5 and XSX. Sony paid for Stellar Blade to be fully exclusive despite it being announced for Xbox. You don't see me crying. I will simply play it on my PS5. Problem solved.

All this talk about WHAT WAS simply means nothing because what was isn't now. It's not the reality of the situation.

No, sorry they took the game away (it was supposed to be on playstation, no?)... And they keep talking about choice and making games available to all gamers.

This is not like they were subtle about their hypocrisy.

Other platform holders do not go around telling people they make games that they want to make available to more gamers on any platform they prefer, acting as if they did not care

Starfield was NEVER announced for PlayStation 5 so it supposedly going to be on PlayStation was nothing but a rumor and speculation. Even if you say Microsoft and Phil lied, so fucking what? Jim Ryan and Sony has lied numerous times too but no one seems to mind that, huh? Besides, if the roles were reversed and Sony acquired Bethesda, do you truly believe that Sony would release any game on Xbox? No, they fucking wouldn't and no company would nor should they. You want to play Starfield, you know what you have to do in order to play it. If not, that's up to you but for PlayStation fans to feel so entitled to games and IP's that Sony never owned and were never entitled to is beyond egotistical.

Sony had at least two opportunities to give all of their PlayStation fans those games by accepting Game Pass which if anything, would hurt Xbox more than PlayStation but Jim Ryan and Sony said no thanks so maybe, you should blame your favorite company and Jim Ryan who's lied numerous times. Not only that but saying something when you don't actually own the company yet doesn't mean shit.

Besides, did you or any other PlayStation fan to truly ever expect to get Bethesda games outside of the two contracted games? I mean come on. That's not how the gaming industry has been. People can talk all they want about Microsoft taking games away from PlayStation yet Sony took away countless games away from Sega, Nintendo and Microsoft and built their entire dominance around it starting with the original PlayStation. Both instances are exactly the same shit except one major difference - Microsoft acquired the publisher meaning they own them and can do what they want with them. Sony doesn't own third party games like Final Fantasy yet Xbox fans don't get shit.

Then, PlayStation fans will argue that no one buys the games so that's why they don't get it. Why would Xbox fans buy years old ports for full price? Did PlayStation fans buy ROTTR in 2016 after the one year timed exclusivity on Xbox? Nope. Which proves that timed exclusivity is designed to hurt the competition and to get more people into their eco-system. Both sides do the exact same shit. No one can bitch when one side decides after 20 years to nuclear as if Microsoft was never ever going to spend their money. After E3 2018, it was just a matter of time.

This is one of the several reasons why I want Microsoft to keep acquiring studios and/or publishers. Because everyone acts that when Sony does their fucked up shit, it's perfectly okay which they've done for 27 years and continue to do by the way but when Microsoft does it like with ROTTR, OMG, the world is ending. SMH. It's fucking ridiculous. Microsoft simply had enough and decided to go nuclear and stopped caring about what the fans of the other console think or believe because either way, Microsoft would never win in the eyes of most gaming media and PlayStation fans. Microsoft could literally give you every Bethesda game and every ABK game and PlayStation fans would still find shit to bitch about.

Microsoft DOES give consumers more options than Sony and Nintendo combined. But of course, it's within the XBOX eco-system. Why would they put Bethesda games on PlayStation when they're trying to build up the Xbox brand and of course, they'll spend money just like Sony has for 27+ years to dominate and stay that way. People thinking that Microsoft can compete with the juggernaut of the PlayStation brand by doing almost nothing is absurd. You could give them 20 more years and still isn't happening. So how does a brand try to increase it's market share and whatnot? By acquiring studios and publishers.

What if Google somehow ended up with Bethesda? Do you think that they wouldn't have made them exclusive to Stadia? Of course they would. Why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't anybody? People act as if Microsoft is supposed to care about PlayStation gamers. Fuck that. When has Sony ever given a shit about Xbox gamers? Like never.

This is all business and regardless of what our opinions are, these companies are going to do what they believe is best for their own brand which is why I own both consoles because I know how the industry works and while not the end all be all, exclusive games and content do matter and definitely help get more people into the respective eco-system and platform and there's nothing better than owning both so I can play every timed and full exclusive that I want with no restrictions or limitations. Why gamers on either side don't do the same is beyond me. And if it's brand loyalty for some odd reason, then in my mind, the games on the other platform simply aren't important and thus, why complain if they're not on your preferred platform of choice.

But it is what it is. Our opinions will never change on this subject.

Indeed no salt, just pointing out the lies and hypocrisy of the people makes me happy.

Now, if Ms could buy EA and Ubi after they finish breaking Activision and Bethesda, they will drive all these crappy companies to the ground (like EA has done to many greats in the past).

This is a great post but you’re kind of wasting time with it here.

It’s funny how when MS started bringing games to PC, the general consensus from warriors was laughing at how there is no need to buy an Xbox now, because everyone has a PC. Now that they are putting games on PC, Switch, and xCloud, it’s still a huge sin for them to not release Starfield on PS5 because none of them have an Xbox, PC, tablet, smartphone, smart TV, etc.

It simply doesn't matter what they were because that's in the past. Why would Microsoft (or any hardware manufacturer for that matter) spend billions of dollars on an acquisition only to make them available on their competition's platform? Honestly, that would make no sense and wouldn't benefit Microsoft or the Xbox platform and eco-system.

I would love to be able to play every game on my Xbox Series X but I can't and in those cases, I simply play on my PlayStation 5. At the end of the day, someone who's a gamer and wants to play games should own both consoles or all three if you're into Nintendo because why not? Loyalty? Nah. Companies manufacture and release a product that im paying for and all I care about is if the product is good and im happy with my purchase. That's literally as far as it goes for me and if the competition gets an exclusive that I want to play, I just play it over there and once completed, I move on to my next game.

if you give examples, at least educate yourself on those examples.
second, sony bought one on one these companies which were associated with PS for years and made games for them. not the whole publisher.

I am educated on the examples. It's just that whether it be fans or gaming media, whenever Sony pays for something, no one says a fucking word. It's like crickets. Microsoft does anything and there's always an uproar. It's hypocritical. It doesn't matter if the studio or publisher was working with Sony or Microsoft in the past because the past is dead. It literally doesn't matter. Present and future matter. Not the past. Past is gone and you can't do anything about any of it. Even if Hines/Howard said that Starfield was developed on PlayStation 5, so what? Microsoft owns Bethesda and if they wanted to cancel the game, that's 100% entirely within their right as the owner to do so. Wait, what? Stellar Blade was a multi-platform game announced years ago and only resurfaced in September 2021 at Sony's PlayStation Showcase. What do you mean by neither is true? It was originally going to be on Xbox similar to Starfield if you want to use the same example and now it's not. The only dfference is that Sony doesn't only the development studio behind Stellar Blade which makes it worse because they have no ownership whatsoever over them compared to Microsoft obviously owning Bethesda. PlayStation gamers shouldn't say anything at all because at the end of the day, if one company makes an acquisition, that's it, it's now owned by that company and they can do whatever they so choose with them. If that means make them better, worse, kill them off, sell them off, merge them or whatever the case may be, that's entirely at the discretion of the parent company. No one else.

Indeed no salt, just pointing out the lies and hypocrisy of the people makes me happy.

Now, if Ms could buy EA and Ubi after they finish breaking Activision and Bethesda, they will drive all these crappy companies to the ground (like EA has done to many greats in the past).

No lies or hypocrisy from me. Sony can buy whatever they want. I don't care as it doesn't affect me since I own a PlayStation 5. In fact, Sony is my #2 in regards to acquisitions meaning that if Microsoft can't get who I want them to get, then I would hope that Sony is next on the list.

Streaming is not a viable option, no matter how good the PR around it is.

I refuse to acknowledge that Sony has a viable solution for playing ps3 games on PS4/5 because they stream them to you, I will not accept the same BS from MS because reason.

Thanks and yeah, I know. Saying what I say is the equivilent of me telling Xbox fans on XboxEra who constantly complain about Square Enix and Final Fantasy. It's like, it the games are so important to you, you know what you need to do. lol

Hahaha. You're right with the second part because for years, all I remember reading is PlayStation fans bashing Xbox due to not needing the console because they have a capable PC which if they did, they wouldn't be complaining about Starfield not being on PS5. Even better, all I see here is people bashing Starfield for the most part so why they would want the game on PS5 to begin with is beyond me.

Always makes me laugh when people talk about x-Cloud - like anybody give a shit about that service.

It's basically a tick on the MS checklist.

Like just for starters you've got a Bethesda game that's gonna have tons of frame drops. Now add in lots of latency aswell lol.

The only place I see talking good about XCloud is WindowsCentral.
After Stadia death not even Xbox fans talks about it anymore.

And no… I don’t even consider game streaming as a (bad) BC option… so don’t talk about it to play new games.

You are making way too much sense here man.. 🤷‍♂️

To be fair most WJRPG have bad combat systems.
See the multi-awarded The Witcher III... it is mediocre in terms of combat but everybody get blind about that part and just talk about how good everything else is.

The Witcher III is the perfect example of unplayable to me even when I liked the story, presentation and core game design.
Skyrim the same... people are into Bestelda games for the story telling... not gameplay, presentation or bugs.

I wish we could have both... a Witcher game with good combat system.
I just spin to win with Witcher's 3 combat because that spin was OP as fuck. Got through me to a lot of combat encounters. Whirl + Severance Rune = easy mode.
