Some stutters here and there. Nothing like some other Unreal Engine 4 games.

This is easily still a better experience on PC than it is on PS5... even with these slight stutters.

Still though, the developers are working on a patch to fix them.

Trust me... if it was bad, I'd say so.

Instant load times like on PS5?

Also PS5 install 7gb vs Steam 10gb.

If the game looks the same and plays the same, how can it be that the PC has a better experience. Honest question.

Also, my cat is loving the game 😹

What resolution are you playing in?

I completed it yesterday. I think it's a great, unique and charming game. One of the best indies of the year, probably the best one.

We'll have to follow the next games of this BlueTwelve studio, they have a lot of potential. In fact, it's a relatively small studio made of former Ubisoft (mostly from Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Paris) and newbies, with their 3 animators coming from Quantic Dream (I think all the three debuted in Detroit: Become Human).

I think it would be idea for Sony to buy them to have a studio in France.

Played an hour so far.

Love the post apocalyptic cyberpunk setting and atmosphere.

Not a fan of the gameplay.

Seems like all I'm doing is being commanded to press X again and again. Would have preferred if there was actual platforming.

So far so good, haven't seen any of the stutters that others have seen.

DF don’t have an SSD? Anyone know what kind of DRM this game uses?
That's gonna depend on a lot of factors.

The drives I'm seeing from people reporting minimal/no issues are significantly faster than usual. Couldn't tell you what DF's using in their testing rigs at any given time, or what other factors are at play, I'm just saying that's the most commonly-shared attribute I've seen personally.

OK finished it.
It was good but kinda boring by the midtown section.
I was already tired of talking to everyone and fetch quests and wanted to continue the story.
It left me with better feeling after ending it than I had in last 25% (boredom).

And the platforming is terrible. It's just prompts. Game feels really stiff because of that
eeeh it's a 7

The game world is surprisingly huge. I thought I would be able to finish it today but it keeps going 😻

I absolutely love it. Don't have anything bad to say about this indie.

Stray is a very cool work of art. I enjoyed it a lot.

It’s a chill 6 hour adventure as a cat through a gorgeous cyberpunk world with excellent music.

- The cat is incredibly well animated. Moves and acts just like a real cat.
- Beautiful art direction, especially the way they used lighting. It’s a mood.
- Design is a good execution of its concept - you play as a cat. Solid core mechanics.
- Thankfully avoids having too much “combat“ or collectible chasing. No leveling, etc.
- Puzzles were interesting, quick and intuitive enough. Exploring the scenery was cool.
- Well paced story. Just enough intrigue, tension, and character. Strong opening and ending.
- Bit over reliant on text pop ups.
- High level of fidelity, especially for an indie.
- Played on PS5. 4K60, good controls, loads very quick. Just a 7 GB install.

Loving it so far.

Around 3 hours in I only have one complaint.

My only gripe is the platforming. Would have preferred if the platforming was free as opposed to simply pressing X again and again.

For me it takes away the attraction of controlling a cat and actual exploring for options.

Game would probably be longer too.

The issues with a typical jump button would be:

- would look wrong, cats are precise & graceful when jumping up to a platform
- would make Stray feel too much like Ratchet/Spyro/Crash, wrong style
- would be very hard to freely jump onto all the small platforms. you’d fall/die a lot
- and since cats don’t miss jumps usually, this would again ruin the “fantasy” of controlling a realistic cat
- the game is aiming for a more “serious” vibe, closer to realism, not a cartoon feel (like Ratchet/Spyro/Crash)

The way they handled fits best with both the intent of the game and the level design.

Fair enough.

Maybe with the way the game was designed they had no other choice.

For me it kills the attraction of playing as a cat. Wasn't expecting Ratchet or Mario level platforming but more freedom with the jumping/traversing.
