I don't even believe there is a ps5 pro but what sources does gene park has that says it won't have a disk drive , that's Xbox that is trying to kill physical media if there is a ps5 pro I'm sure they'll go the route of the new model ps5 & make it so you can have an optional disk drive
Of course Microsoft will probably get exactly what they want since they've already bought zenimax & Activision / blizzard & can stop making physical games for everything they release which other publishers will inevitably follow
Sony had an incentive to keep disks alive with the ps1 & PS2 since they were manufacturing disks , they have an incentive ever since they were part of creating blu ray disks (that's why the Xbox 360 didn't use them ) Microsoft wants rid of physical media because they get nothing from it
