This is the exact reason why Sony needs to lean into GaaS. Their single player AAAA model can only carry them so far and is risky when you get a misfire. You can’t evolve it and generate new revenue when it’s a single player game.

The PC will always be important, but I don't think the "trajectory" of anything is towards more PCs or having a greater importance there.
Look at the industry numbers.
The industry numbers are fine, the problem is Sony's skittish approach which fails to allow them to build a dedicated playerbase on PC.
Basically they’re not releasing enough games or fast enough to grow their business there, they realize this which is exactly why they're going to accelerate it.

What makes you think sales for each game will get better with more releases.
Simple fact is PC gamers don’t have an appetite for the type of single players games Sony makes.
Secondly Day 1 piracy and no DRM means these games are doomed to fail.
You answer your own question lmao. PC players don't have an appetite because they're sparingly exposed to Sony's style of games, more exposure equals increased adoption.

Somehow a thread about increasing PS4 and PS5 play time gave him a reason to PC port beg.
Releasing more of their games in quicker succession and building up a fanbase for that style of game will do exactly that. You speak of people peddling nonsense all the time yet fail to read into your own posting.
That would decrease time spent on PS consoles..... so...why would they do that?
You honestly think releasing more games in succession will help when the few games they have released sold like shit?
