Resistance was severely under appreciated and while many will disagree, it’s probably my favorite Insomniac work. Sunset Overdrive is probably second in my book.
I have been surprised that Blizzard hasn’t jumped into mobile quicker, honestly. What I take from this however is that Blizzard no longer trusts NetEase with major decisions and that this is a problem for the two.
This is the exact reason why Sony needs to lean into GaaS. Their single player AAAA model can only carry them so far and is risky when you get a misfire. You can’t evolve it and generate new revenue when it’s a single player game.
Campaign coop is one of those things that I have classic memories with across the Halo franchise but will be played by less than one percent of the playerbase. It’s sad to say but I feel like it’s just taking resources from other places that the game needs work.
Infinite is a great game at its core. The gameplay, visuals and audio are all great. I would argue the best that 343 has done. The campaign is great and multiplayer feels super tight and competitive. It just desperately needs a content pipeline.
Resident Evil could really use a rest in my opinion but the games continue to do extremely well so I don’t see Capcom giving it one. Exoprimal looks decent but time will tell. I missed the recent beta sign ups but really want to try it.
