They take a great platform and make it ugly merely on the back of their propaganda, lies, brown nosing and complete detachment from reality.

Well I can only talk about TLOU as being fan of both franchises.
TLOU is a better game than Elden Ring.

Now about GoW Ragnarok it needs to release first, no? That is the issue with claims already putting Elden Ring as the definitive GOTY.
BTW my GOTY 2022 is right now Gran Turismo 7 but it can chance with late releases.

Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, Tomb Raider trilogy (better than Uncharted), MGSV… dude I can go on.

It depends what you want. I’m sure those games are mostly unrivaled as pseudo interactive cinematic experiences but if you’re a hardcore action gamer… I mean it’s not too special at all.

Didn’t play TLOU2 and probably not going too but the shooting, movement and overly animated, almost plays itself, gameplay design of their past games were horrible.

I’m a PlayStation gamer and think they’re excellent at cultivating talent and studios but I have my favorites. God of War 2018 absolutely obliterates anything ND has made.

That is correct. In the simple case, "next-gen" just means the latest hardware from previous hardware.

Again, correct. The engines and it's functions are what gets iterated on each generation. If the hardware suffers from it, then they have to be upgraded. Both consoles can't handle full on RT this generation (and to a lesser extent PC GPUs) from the latests graphics engines.

Y’all better get ready for a huge disappointment of a September showcase, if you’re expecting a Single-player games blowout, you’re sadly mistaken, you’ll get:

- Spider Man 2 3 minute “gameplay trailer” like how they marketed GOWR with that trash trailer.
- Something new from Bluepoint.
- A new single-player IP from one of their studios.
- 3 or 4 new live-service garbage.
- A couple of PSVR 2 games.
- Some 3rd-parties with exclusivities.

It’s gonna be embarrassing.

In all seriousness tho… games are cheaper and more readily available for purchase than ever. No limited units for games like FZERO GX which only sold like 50,000 units. And subscription services and Steam sales are insane value.

For me? In the last decade? Destiny, Death Stranding and Gran Turismo Sport, Gran Turismo 7 for example.

Sekiro probably is followed by Bloodborne and Demon's Souls (yeap most Xbox/PC fans will say it is Dark Souls but Dark Souls lose a lot of the atmosphere and character charisma that made what Demon's Souls is)... and to let here Demon's Souls PS5 port is just like Dark Souls lose a lot of what made Demon's Souls great... the original is superior to the new game.

I don't see it that way. I think ER fit because it reviewed very high and many people got excited about FROM making an open world DS and it working. GoW:R is just a single player game with very limited scope compared to ER.
