Steam data base has Ragnarök currently at 35k. I still think this game will grow and continue to sell. Just a packed September with Space marine 2, among others dropping in same time frame.

Please don't become like them. This is pure cope. It's less than half of the first and below HFW. Barely above Days Gone.

Every game "continues to sell" what does that even mean. It will follow the same sales trajectory as all the others.

"Become like them" for simply having a different opinion and not being a doomer is crazy work mate.

The game is at a peak of 35,615 right now. Once again though, CCU isn't a good indicator of overall sales.

what packed september? there is literally nothing accept Astro Bot and that one on PS5 only and outselling everyone.
Space Marines 2 is nothing burger. first game was very mediocre. 70 on PS3 metacritic. we don't need to pretend like it is some sort hot game.

space marine 2 is 100% getting some hype bandwagon by the same guys with sony hate boner and who say everything is woke.
It's anything remotely masculine and good on pc so they go crazy.
Looks like a fine... 40$ game.

Of course it'll continue to sell. But it's peak CCU won't increase beyond this weekend's peak, and the game itself will likely sell at best half of what 2018 did on Steam, for various reasons including some that have nothing to do with GOWR itself and more to do with Xbox & Steam fanboys uniting to suppress the game's appeal on PC with various types of FUD.

But of which, I have no sympathy towards SIE for because they are the ones who chose to aggressively pursue that market demographic. So it is, what it is.

It quite literally is a hot game, 98,452 players as of right now at 4pm EST (16:00) with an all time peak of 225,690 13 days ago is pretty big.

That game is bigger than you are giving it credit for mate. It is the 12th highest game with the most players playing as of right now.

Where is the excuse for putting the "space marine 2 isn't big" statement down? It's one of the biggest games on Steam and it came out this month.

September is a packed month cause Space Marine 2 is big.

That’s why GOW Ragnarok hasn’t sold well.

Means game will continue to sell over time. CCU is not indicative to how well a game sells. Keep looking weekly on top games sold on steam.

We are talking steam. On steam you had big releases like Space marine 2, Before that Black Myth Wukong, on top of that even though it hasn't sold a lot retail, you also have Starwars outlaws. And Assassins creed shadow will sell as well which comes out next month. There were a lot of releases for September on steam.

In which universe a high quality game like GoW R should be "afraid" of such titles?

The game is already dropping out of the top 10 and it's going to top the charts all weeks 🤣

Nobody acts this way for other games when they flop out of the gate. Yes games continue to sell over time (duh) but when it bombs at launch, it bombs.

We have multiple threads here for UK, NPD, CCU. Don't act brand new like we can't compare. We are not stupid.

PC-Gamers are Timelords, traveling to the point where their sales were not completly irrelevant.

It is quite a odyssey full of disappointment and irrelevance, though...

Steam buying habits are different because there's so many games that release at different prices. When you look at full retail priced games more than likely you are going to have consumers make a choice. Space marine 2 and Black myth had a lot of hype and sold a good amount on Steam. And they were both full price.

Space marine 2 had a $80-100 version to play early. Just saying when you release a game on steam the same month another big AAA game with a lot of buzz steam buyers usually buy the one big AAA game because of price. When you look at earlier this year you saw games like Manor lords, Vampire rising, among others for the $40 range so they charted, on top of other titles that might of been on special.

Thats my take on it on how iv seen steam buying habits anyway.

Can you explain why Ghost of Tsushima did as well as it did in May? God of war is the bigger game. Yet ghost beat it active player wise on its steam launch. It's like I said it came out in a dead month compared to god of war and didn't have all the stink of the PSN account stuff. Now all of that has festered and to play god of war you need an account as opposed to ghost which only required one for co-op mode.

Here's currently Top sellers:

Frost Punk 2 literally launched the same day its a huge steam title. Look at whats number 1 and it came out two weeks earlier?

On top of that, Ghost of Tsushima's hype never died once the NVIDIA leak happened, less people cared about GoW as much as they did for Ghost.
