March 21st - Horizon Forbidden West
March 22nd - Dragon's Dogma 2

What is it with Horizon and being released in close proximity to another big open world title, is this masochism? 🤔
The internet keeps trying to make this thing happen as if Horizon gets buried in sales whenever it releases.

Horizon has sold more than dragons dogma and the original sold extremely well even when releasing near zelda or whatever competition it had.

anyway i hope this PC port flops and nixxes is shuttered

I can't imagine how good this game will look on a powerful PC. It's already one of the most beautiful games out there.

Its as if they want their games to flop and not be noticed on pc. Each time they keep releasing next time to new releases. That happened with Returnal, Sackboy, Uncharted etc. At this point why bother sending the games out their to fail intentionally?

To ensure the game runs on a wide variety of PC hardware, including portable gaming devices, we’ve included graphics presets ranging from very low to very high. This allows gamers with the latest hardware to push their systems, while also providing a great experience on less powerful PCs. Below you’ll find an overview of the specifications we recommend for a variety of presets available in the game.

So to run at what seems to be PS5 settings it requires a 3070. Good to see that the PS5 is at 3060 level 😂

Not that I'm going to play it on PC, but these requirements suggest my RTX 4060 would handle 1080p/60fps/High just fine.

Bold to assume high means PS5 settings and not medium.

When is Sony going to give up on PC
if they go day and date and they see sales decline because people are pirating it on PC instead of paying 70/80, i think that's when they'll reconsider, but it'll be too late

Sony said the opposite, that they will double down on it, because they need to increase their profitability margins in the short term and PC ports are very profitable for them.

In fact, even if non-GaaS SP titles are released on PC around 2 years or more than their original version was released in PC (as will be the case of Until Dawn), they have planned day one releases of some of their GaaS like Concord, Marathon or FairGme$.

Actually the first one sold well on PC.
it did not, in 4 years it sold 3M units and had HEAVY discounts, being sold for miserable 10 dollars
Sony first party games are making hundreds of millions per year outside PS, obviously mostly on PC. And this is their best selling game there. These ports did cost them around a handful millions each but generate dozens of millions, so they are highly profitable.

That would be way too and they would probably make all the wrong conclusion from it (like assuming single player games have no future). I don't think there is going back with their PC strategy, at most they could stop it where it is (no day one ports for single player games).

What I don't get is why they don't even put Denuvo in their games, it's like they want them to be pirated. Single player games getting cracked day one on PC, with small windows is a suicidal strategy.

While Nintendo is suing emulators to try and stop piracy of their games on PC Sony is going out of their way to expose their games to piracy. Then these stupid bean counters question why Nintendo is so much more profitable. :ROFLMAO:
