That person is really destroying them lmao, don't know how they haven't been banned yet.
They'll probably get reported and thread-banned sooner or later.
Same old recycled arguments. The very few that go against the grain of sucking Microsoft's balls are just discarded as console warriors.
Which is funny considering the ones sucking Microsoft's balls are the biggest console warriors on that forum. Tigerfish419, Sullivan, Mauler X, Frieza, Vigilante Joker etc. are some of the biggest non-self aware corporate shill fanatics for a company I've probably ever seen.
I don’t want to drop names but I can already imagine who that is
What's funny is that the developer complaining about PlayStation and wants to envision Xbox as a bastion, is arguing for equity, not equality. His complaints about PlayStation are no different than how storefronts like Steam operate; ironically Steam and PS Store are the biggest respective storefronts on PC and console. It's almost like the companies that actually
RELY on game revenue to be self-sufficient treat gaming like a business and not a charity.
Also nothing necessarily stops stand-out indies from getting ad space on those storefronts, your game just needs to do something REALLY good to stand out and catch on. Fall Guys, Hades, and Among Us are great examples of that. Most indie games are "good enough" but when you're also competing with bigger AA and AAA games for space and attention, you need to be a lot more than just "good enough" and that's without the effect of ad space.
Because the average gamer is going to look at indie Dirt Dig Neo Plus, then look at GTA5 on sale for not much more, and if they haven't played either, guess which one they're likely to get? Not Dirt Dig Neo Plus.
Also...it's always easier to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond.
