People are playing Yakuza games more on PlayStation than on Xbox regardless of gamepass. How does it not damage PS when you have the competition offering these games for, what, 15 dollars on release as opposed to a full $70? Yes, it's a rental but a month is more than enough to play through one.
GamePass has been lacking because it has no games. If it starts getting major 3rd party AAA games, it's a whole different thing.

I have no idea why he keeps posting these bottom of the barrel trash. You posted that like her opinion matters and she has inside information.
All the Persona current gen versions Sony never got? Timed exclusivity for Yakuza 7 current gen patch?Source?
FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX all released as a PlayStation exclusives and took years to show up on other consoles.Don’t move the goalposts.
What third party games were Playstations identity.
Final Fantasy? Started on Nintendo. First 6 games in fact.
Resident Evil? Always multiplatform and then Capcom struck an exclusive deal with Nintendo which they regretted.
Metal Gear Solid? Mostly multiplatform.
Silent Hill? mostly multiplatform.
Help me out.
The patches were paid for by Microsoft, irrelevant. Y7 backfired and they’re not going for the new Yakuza games or for the new persona like games. All the Persona current gen versions Sony never got? Timed exclusivity for Yakuza 7 current gen patch?
The next one will probably have some deal with Xbox. Let's wait for Persona 6 but I have a feeling it'll be day one on GP and probably no DualSense features at launch, unless MS outright buys Sega before that.
and guess what? These games flopped on Xbox and they’ll keep flopping on it.Posted on the last page.....
Did any of you worry about PlayStation when all these games were announced for Xbox? There’s more than a couple

What changes now other than the clearly PR announcement? Sony still has as always the bigger AAA games exclusive.
Xbox didn't own 2 major publishers back then and didn't admit that their goal is to spend Sony out of business.

Yeah I fully expect VIIR to release on gamepass sometime later next year. And it’ll flop there.Yeah i mean these games sales reach are nowhere on Xbox.
MS does this for cool points from their green rats fanbase. A distraction from how utterly pathetic the Xbox brand is.
The worries they had the last several days are somehow gone because of late port of a MMO????? Oh please.
MS knows how to fool their fanbase real good.

I actually think this is a really, really dumb idea on Square Enix's part. There's gonna be like 1000 players on xbox... is it really worth spending months if not years of dev time, including spinning up a whole xbox dev/engineering/support team just for shit that will barely sell on xbox? And I think YoshiP is the type to keep supporting it due to pride despite it performing like absolute shit.
The point is they aren't going to profit if the dev costs are more than the money they're gaining from new subscriptions. FF14 is absolutely massive. It's going to take a huge effort to port, playtest, and optimize the game for xbox. All for like $10,000 a month in new subs? Lmao, that's the cost of a single devIts an MMO it makes sense to get as many players as possible. I’d say before that even if Sony DID acquire SE I’d still think they’d put it on xbox.
Games like that don’t drive mindshare they are purely profit driven ventures. It makes no sense to not put it on everything. They should try nd build a mobile version as well
Now that is actually a decent policy, they should only money hat games that include that sort of long term commitment in the deal and they should be going after many more games like this (on top of other moves). It’s not
Microsoft confirms that Sony has blocked these 4 games from hitting Xbox forever
Silent Hill 2, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and more are apparently being held hostage by Sony.www.windowscentral.com
