Kinda dropped Black Myth Wukong. At the start of chapter 2 and while the game is action adventure, it's definitely not an easy one. Fucking archers!! It's still installed and will stay on my PlayStation 5 just in case Game Science lessens the difficulty.

Anyway, will be starting Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 tomorrow on Xbox Series X which im very much looking forward to as I have two friends at work who have been playing it and say it's awesome so yeah, can't wait!!

got back into helldivers. the new update is fucking awesome
How much of an obstacle there is for new players? Meaning if I start playing now or in the near future, would I be able to catch up to the current unlocks and is there a place and new player count for people like me to play with ( meaning total noobs)?

I guess playing lower difficulties will help with getting into teams of noobs. But make sure to disable cross-play. PC users often simply kick you before completing a mission.

None really. You are gated by playtime and there is no real end game (next priority is endgame content which will probably be some sort of weapon customization system). It will take a while to unlock things but you can grind out currency by playing the game and unlock the paid battle passes since they never expire and all the ones since launch are still available.

They added a thing where if you get kicked you are put in your own solo instance of the mission and you can complete it and earn all the rewards.
Is it really worth it?

I have this game in my family Steam library, will I lose much if I start playing now?
Lose what? It's a PvE game where all the content updates are free and the paid content doesn't phase out

That's cool. Didn't know it. But I haven't touched the game since I got the platinum a few weeks after release.

Finally beat Final Shape’s raid last night.

I play with one buddy consistently over the years. We try to learn and teach the raids. So we struggle with usually 4 randoms week after week.

We had mastered the first half. Befriended our way into a clan of similarly aged gamers this weekend to join and finish it over the course of the weekend. About 6 hours were spent learning the last two encounters. Good people. Good times.

Of course now I think it’s easy. Only took over 3 months and a like 100 hours while only having Saturday available. (It won’t take players 100 hours to practice — that’s just how much I invested before the clear lol)

Vow of the Disciple is still the best raid. Way cooler final boss in that one.

I have been playing MGS from the collection. Got most of the trophies, I'll move into MGS2 now..

My son got interested when he saw me playing MGS, so he is on his first playthrough ever... He just beat the Hind D.

Astro Bot is still there too, I'm just chipping away till I get the plat.

Just downplayed and tried LocoRoco 2.

Obviously after playing the Astro Bot level.

Unfortunately not the same.

Shoulder buttons used to tilt screen and you have to press both shoulder buttons to jump which is weird.

Can’t seem to change controls either.

I am gonna play Disco Elysium instead. Let’s see how it goes.

Do you play on PS5? You can use button remapping then.

Finished Astro Bot last night, losing precious hours of sleep but couldn't care less at the time.

What a fantastic game. I really hope Sony sees this as crucial to the future of Playstation.

Top is mine, middle is the wife's, bottom is the kids' save file. This is the most popular game in the family, by far.

LOL Locoroco does have motion controls.

Issue is you need to press 2 shoulder buttons to jump.

Can’t seem to assign them to one button.

EDIT - you can also jump with motion controls.

Mine were OFF.

Awesome.

He wouldn't touch Fortnite or genshin anyway... It's just the way he is.

His favorite game is shadow of the colossus and he loves Souls games.

There's still room to improve though... He hasn't completed the new GOW games, just 3 for instance
