It not getting coverage by media isn't vitriol. I don't recall the narrative being well there's no room for this, it should have been cancelled, we are tired of hero shooters and al the other nonsense aimed at Concord, be honest about how both games were treated

Both were announced during the same State of Play yet only one was crucified upon arrival and continues to be getting jumped from all angles.

The game was debuted end of May and released 2 months later realistically nothing could have been changed even if they wanted to without significantly delaying the game which would not make financial sense since the game was fully polished and completed.

I've read that psychologists have studied why people buy lottery tickets. It's actually not because people think they're going to win. The odds are way too small. People buy lotto tickets because it gives them the pleasurable feeling of thinking about what would happen if they win.

People have 100% certainty that they're going to change their thought patterns after a lotto purchase.

I think the same psychology applies here. Concord failing allows them to live in a preferred fantasy. They like to think, however wrongly, that Live Service market is crashing and PlayStation is going back to single player games focus.

It's much more fun to believe the lie, ignore Valorants console success, and pretend to believe Concord represents some end point for a trend they never liked.

Now if Concord had characters that appeal to a wider audience (NOT only the modern audience) we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The gameplay mechanics of Concord are fine. Graphics are fine. It's only butchered by laughably bad characters. And the characters are in your face non-stop. You can't ignore them and move on. And this is the part that people are not willing to accept and rightfully so.

Dustborn is another prime example of catering to the wrong people with the wrong mindset. And how did that game do? Yeah.....

This time the gaming community made a stand by finally and collectively voting with our wallets.

The walls of Jericho are crumbling and this is a good thing. BUT not for the people who worked on these titles and wasted their talents to push an agenda that's been enforced on them from higher up in the corporate foodchain. They could be out of a job for reasons they can't control. That shouldn't be celebrated.

Tbh, if Concord last as long as destructive all stars, with decent match making. Im good. Something i can pick up for a couple hours, few times a week. I think FP2 and PS+ will help that happen.
If they are really smart then change some character designs to just make everything so much easier

If they are really smart, cut the cost, shut down the game and let developers focus on developing something original, good and interesting.

The likelihood Sony give Firewalk another game to work on is incredibly slim. Firewalk’s debut game is the biggest flop in PlayStation history. They did not earn another chance.

Firewalk is gonna be shuttered or made into a support studio for Bungie and Blundell team leading Gummy Bears at Sony. Or get merged into blundell’s new studio altogether.

They bought the game and studio from Probably Monsters right?
