Thnks for the feedback.I messed with EQ a bit. It saves to the headset.
Mixed results. Flat standard might still sound the best. Not sure yet.

Did they actually review the right headset? The sound profile is extremely bright and the headset is not bulky at all?Sony PULSE Elite Wireless Review

I really think they reviewed something else other than the pulse elitesare they dumb?
Poor noise isolation? Thee fucking things don't have noise cancellation and passive noise isolation is so good, I can hear my heartbeat and bloodflow. it's TOO GOOD. In fact, you need goo passive isolation for planars. Put a finger under the cushion and all bass is gone.
not well built?! Like how? It's just subjective. these are fine and comfortable.
Unintuitive controls? what the hell. Button to turn on, = or - for volume. wtf do they want. Same shit with pulse 3d and I loved that thing
There is no lack of bass. Maybe it didn't seal on their ear microphones but it sounds good after you get used to it. It sounds bright at first but it's detailed, rich and you hear stuff you neve heard... and the bass is capable. It does all I want it to.
If someone doesn't like it, I highly recommend pulse 3d. I actually liked pulse 3d comfort more and bass maybe a bit more... but it sounds way less detailed.
Im glad you guys are bringing up these points as some ppl consider "rtngs" to be like this holy grail for tech reviews.are they dumb?

It couldn't have been the explores lol because the explores also sound great and have gd bass and are intuitive enough.I really think they reviewed something else other than the pulse elites
well the explores are earbuds and thus aren't bulky lol... also they have way better sound quality than the headset which is crazy to me, the bad thing is they only have like 4-5 hours of battery life which is annoying afIt couldn't have been the explores lol because the explores also sound great and have gd bass and are intuitive enough.

Before the Pulse Elites, I had the HyperX Cloud 2s, they didn't sound as good but they were still fine, more comfortable, and obviously way more durable. I wouldn't recommend the Pulse Elites...I'm gonna contact Sony in the morning to see if they can fix/replace mine. If they don't, I'm gonna go with the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless.@JAHGamer
I don't buy many peripherals or accessories, but I can attest that the HyperX Cloud (Model 1) I have had since 2016 is still doing very well.
Of course, the ear pads are worn out, but the fact I can easily swap it between my PC and PS4 + PS5, is so nice. I use the 3.55mm jack.
Been meaning to upgrade it.. I'm sure there are better sound quality headsets out there.
Lol this is planar. These things are fragile. Nothing to do with SonyI dropped mine on the floor slightly and now the right ear doesn't work at all The last PlayStation peripheral I ever buy
My HyperX Cloud 2 got banged up for 5 years and still worked perfect. One little drop and this breaks after 3 months, unacceptable
Didn't know that, I'm not an audiophile but now I know to steer clear. I just need decent audio, mic, and battery life.Lol this is planar. These things are fragile. Nothing to do with Sony
Yeah planar magnetics are known to be fragile bc they rely on a thin metal film for the sound production. No dropsiesDidn't know that, I'm not an audiophile but now I know to steer clear. I just need decent audio, mic, and battery life.
